I am LOVING this update. I was supposed to go to sleep 4 hours ago..but i'm having too much fun xD @Senyazza I am loving the textures really outdid yourself
Hey, its me again! I hav an question, well actually two. One, do babies follow their mothers when the mother is pulling a cart? And two, can u hitch other horses to carts, wagons or vardos, not to pull it, but to follow it. Like if u had a mustang u wanted to bring with u, and u also had ur cart or whatever. If the answer is no to one of these questions, it would be a good idea to add to the mod. Thanks!
1st question:Yes Second question:Yes...to do that you need the vardo to have a team, then just lasso the horse then right-click the vardo/wagon/cart.WHEN IT HAS A TEAM. :3 (i created a horse train of 3000...dont ask me how long it took to get them into their pasture)
Just a thought, but might you consider adding a travois (a single chest worth of storage)? If so make a smaller one (with less storage) that can be connected to a tamed wolf?
Go figure that I got it installed correctly finally today. haha, I caused this release to happen today, I believe it whole-heartedly. x) Thanks for the release, I'll be following this mod for infinity now <3333

When u say horse train, do u mean a line of horses pulling carts like a wagon train, or just 3000 horses?
Glad everyone's liking the mod (When it works, anyway)! Hopefully I'll be releasing small mini-updates from now on.
One thing- when you guys are posting about bugs, please make sure to include steps to reproduce the bug, so I know where to start. Sometimes that's enough for me to know what the problem is. If Minecraft crashes, post the crashlog that appears after. It shows up on a blue screen and should be copyable. If you miss your chance to nab it, check your Modloader.txt file. It also records the crash.
1) horses keep spawning in herds around my house, once I disband them another one forms
2) a following mustang keeps pushing my vardo forward once it has stopped.
3) my Clydesdale keep separating & submerging themselves under blocks, killing them before I reach my destination.

Well here's one:
Get some Clydesdales and a cart or whichever one you want really.
Ride into something like a villager's house, or something that the Clydesdales normally wouldn't be able to climb up, and they'll either get stuck in the block, or they'll appear on top of it.
Also, when you're riding up blocks that the Clydesdales CAN climb up, and the Whippletrees(is that what they're called?) will come up, but only shortly after the horse.
Awesome - been waiting for this update - YAY! Thank you !!!!
I love, love, LOVE that the wheels turn! - I know that's an obvious thing for them to do, but they wouldn't look as cool if they didn't move, and the fact they do, I find very impressive.
A couple of observations though (not criticisms - just thoughts!)
1). If you have 1 horse pulling the cart, It feels very odd, because the viewpoint is on one side of the cart, and the horse pulling it is on one side (they seem to start off in the middle, but migrate to the side once you start moving), so it makes it a bit difficult to guide the horses/cart through smaller areas. I presume that is because the cart is 2 blocks wide and you can't have the player or horse in the centre of a block, so I understand why that is....
However, since the cart is too wide to fit through a double door space anyway (it fits through a 2 block space, but not when there are doors there - meaning you can't drive it through a gateway/doorway with doors, so you might want to make the doorway space to be 3-4 blocks wide anyway, so you fit through easily).... Could perhaps the cart be 3 blocks wide instead of 2? That way the part the player sits on, and the block a single horse is taking up when only one horse is pulling it, could then be in the centre block, making steering easier, and it would look better too. If there are 2 horses pulling it, then perhaps that centre block space could be used for that centre wooden rail you'd find on horse drawn vehicles, to give a reason for that extra empty space to be there, although I think it would be fine without that too, and just have more space between the horses.
-- I don't suppose you could code extra wide doors? So each door takes up 2 blocks space, and a "double door" situation then makes a 4 block wide door... so the carts can go through, so we can put doors in our castle walls etc. to keep the mobs out, and still get our horsies out!
2). They take a lot of damage just during a fairly normal trek across the land if your land isn't all flat. They will sometimes take fall damage from dropping only one block. They also will sometimes walk into the side of blocks (like if you let them go too near a wall or sheer mountain cliff) and either suffocate or they will disappear (presumably trying to find ground above that block they can stand on) and will take damage when they come back down.
(going to have to widen my tunnel! lol)
The saving grace though is that you can feed them wheat while in the vehicle, so you can feed them as you go to ensure they make the journey. But perhaps they could do with being given more resilience to help them survive the trip, to account for some of the damage they will take from the terrain.
3). The movement controls can take some getting used to. Which isn't helped by the fact the horses are so far away, so you have to anticipate where they are going to start moving when going around a bend (which will probably be addressed in a future update, so that's fine ).... I love the 3 speeds.... but if you're starting off in a smaller enclosed space, I find it a bit difficult to get the horses out and under control when they charge off at the "normal" speed.... Especially as they can be a bit buggy if your horse walks into a wall or turns too sharply or something.
(*ahem* I found out the hard way that carts can't go through a double doorway, and walls made from a block with a fence on top are not the way to go - as the horses step onto the blocks )
A reverse would be very useful! I know in real life it's difficult to make a horse back up, but it is possible... and might help people get out of awkward situations
4). The horses will lose health (or whatever it is, when their heads drop) while they are tied to the vehicles... I haven't yet seen if they will die from that, but that would prevent us from having a few around as decorative features, which is a shame. Perhaps they could after a while of inactivity, eat any grass they are standing on, to keep their health up?
5). Someone mentioned having the carts containing stuff, so they look like they are being used for transporting goods - That would be fantastic!!! If you could make it so a cart/wagon with empty chest looks as it does now (empty), and then when the chest has contents, it can look a bit different. If it could randomly pick from a few different looks for the cart/wagon with contents (like how the horses have multiple coat colours), that would give a bit of variety to the landscape if we leave carts and wagons around the place
Contents like smaller versions of some pumpkins, chests, boxes, hay... would all be very cool
I don't suppose there is any way to use dyes to change the wood colour? I know nothing about modding/coding, but if like how you can dye sheep with the dyes, if you could dye the vehicles with dye, that would be great (but dying just the body of the vehicle, not the wheels) - even if there were just a few colours to choose from (black, red, light blue, white, grey maybe). Or if crafting/placing a vehicle gave you a random colour - that would again add more variety, which would be great.
(Is there a way we can make additional recolours of the vehicles by numbering them, like with the horse textures?)

Yep,but then the wagon/cart/vardo would be randomized when placed. To do that just get the old texture and mess around with it till you like it.then do vardo2 or something :3
Avii I do think you should add different coloured carts, wagons and vardos wood and wool.It would be a nice touch to the new features. As you say you are doing "mini updates" you could release the wood textures a different time fom the wool.
