Yeah yeah, i totaly agree, also she/he shoud have eyes like in my signature, but i still have an idea for the model, even though baracuda is not gonna do that important step anymore!
i think the Torso should be cut in half and the stomach part (the other half we just cut) should be a bit thiner so that it aligns with the
Tail-start, cuz ALL dragons have a stomach as thik as the tail starts, like everyone knows!
The main problem is that it'll most likely break current texture packs for this mod. And modeling directly in Java code, as I did it so far, is really, really tedious. I need a better way to load and animate the model first before wasting even more time on it.
Armor
This may, or may not have been said before, but i was flying around in my world on my new dragon. I was glad to finally get it. When some skeletons started shooting at me. I was unaware at the time the skeletons where there. Anyway the dragon took to much damage ans simply went ka-poot. Now i no longer have a dragon in my world ):. I was thinking adding some armor to the dragons would help alot. while since the dragon is almost twice as big, that would make it alot more costly alot more costly.

Yep, Barracuda said that it's too difficult thing to implement. I agree that dragons are very vulnerable to skeletons, they also gets massive damage from endermen, of course they can easily take down one skeletons, or two, but when there's more that five of them... At this moment I'm using my dragon in fight at very rare circumstances, because player with enhanced armor is more than capable in combat, taking minimal damage(+regeneration). All the time i have a stack of raw food with me, I'm sick when my dragon is even slightly damaged. When I'm flying around I'm trying to have a big distance from the surface, sometimes using thirdperson mode to check what's under dragon.
Always check health bar of your dragon(s).
Maybe there's something useful in zombie and skeleton ability to wear armors, that can be added to mod?
Thats right. He might be able to take the code from the skeletons and zombie armor, and mabey add it to the dragon model.
May i suggest a few things?
1st: Its now hard to control the dragon some people like the mouse some others like the arrows (Hint: Make an option button 4 that)
2nd: I would love love love to be able to hold baby dragons like a real baby!!!!(I know thats hard to code but it would make me incredibly happy!
3rd: Make a swimming animation instead of them flying through water: So tail moves right to left, Body, head, and tail move like a snake's, Wings completely fold in, and last the legs and hands fold into his/her body. Also they should be able to hold their breath since dragons are closely related to reptiles.
4th: It would be super fun to be able to throw dragons food so they go pick it up with their mouths and make a chewing sound!
5th: make flying more smooth cause when i fly it makes a creaky kinda of turn.
6th: When flying its hard to see over the dragon's head and neck so maybe make a mode from the dragon's perseptive.Also u will have a dragon's inventory so u can put fire/ glistering melons in there for you to use.
7th: Make dragon's and pouch or something like a chest.
8th: (last one) Dragons can move things with their hands and tails and move blocks with their heads. Hands and tails move light objects like animals, eggs, dirt, and they can drink water from lakes!
I know these animations and codes will be hard to make and its even harder when you have a different life, but it would make me EXTREMELY happy to see this mostly #3 / #8 so thanks for reading this! Big fan of your work too!
I think you should add into the mod chains you can attach to the dragon so you can keep them in one place and they can fly freely and also so you can keep them as guards and attack monsters because when you sit them with a bone they can't do any actions apart for moving their heads.
I loooove this mod! But I may have found a glitch when I get more then 10ish blocks away he starts glitching out and no longer follows me. Please tell me how to fix this
I have a suggestion: instead of all the people whining about armor(though it would look cool) I suggest being able to craft a smaller version of those crystals atop the obsidian towers in the End which slowly regenerate the dragon's health IF he took damage. It would either be adorned somewhere on the dragon or saddle(idk where) or in the player's inventory. You'd still have to feed the dragon though and maybe recharge the crystal from time to time. Although if it's in your inventory and you die while on the dragon, of course, it will explode which would insta-kill the dragon. The same goes if it's equipped on the dragon -> it dies -> it explodes -> insta-kills you.

if you mean a human baby, u have to know that the mod wouldnt be then as it should be, reptile have a completely different baby education as humans.
but if u mean a dragon baby, u also should know that they dont exist on earth and he can do whatever he want with his mod!
Ummm, I think he meant giving the player the ability to hold the baby dragon, not the mommy/daddy dragon itself.
Can somebody help me? I've already installed this mod and I am able to spawn it with a ender dragon egg. Not the DRAGON egg we get from the end. And when i spawn it, it is already an adult. I can't seem to place a saddle on it and cant seem to ride it in anyway. PLease help

But I don't want to rush you. I do have a suggestion, however.
Now that the official Ender Dragon has a "roar" that it makes, perhaps you could integrate it into your tamable version. Perhaps it roars when you activate its shield, or when it breathes fire (if/when that function is re-added.)
I like the changes you've made with hatching it, though I still think it should eat Ender or some other strange material rather than just regular meat, since it is an enderdragon after all.
