Thanks for telling me that. Also, in ship to ship combat, could I make a hole in the hull of an enemy ship, and send in a dropship or similar with a bunch of troops (space provided, of course)?
Hull damage will be HP-based, but the physical damage and its affects ship operations will be procedural. If you want to blow a hole in the side of a ship, you should be able to. I can't guarantee the fighting system will be designed with that in mind, but you are free to attempt it.
I'm getting pretty far along on the new render engine. Soon I would like to showcase it in a new video, to which I suspect the general response will be "is that it? It looks the same." and hurt my feelings.

Well, we are working on a few tools to help with that, which will be built into shipyard facilities. The big one, which I think most people will like is the schematic tool. With this, you can store store the design of any ship you make, and then play it back during automated construction. The main purpose of this is so that PVP inclined players won't suffer such a severe loss of time and effort from getting their toys blown to bits.
But more to the point, these schematics are not limited to an individual player, but instead can be shared with anyone, or even bought and sold. You still need all the prerequisite resources and the proper manufacturing facilities, though.

Yhea when i was little i had the strategy ones and now i have a couple space marine games, theres actully a mod but its not very good
Dude, on the futurecraft-forum theres a topic full to the brim with Warhammer40K ships. I think you might like to check it out, just saying.
1.4_01 came out on April 5, 2011, nearly two years ago. It is highly unlikely that Futurecraft will be released for that version of Minecraft.
