Poll: The name of that mod should be different from Ships&Boats and Ph
We have agreed with Eagle_Orion, creator of PhysicsCraft, and Shereis, to join forces to make a mod featuring physics from PhysicsCraft and also the rendering and block interaction facilities of Ships&Boats.
i want a program that will UPDATE MODS for me
and tell if there is a problem it cant solve and what it is
so i can develop mods and not have to do it when mojang develop minecraf
That depends on the ratio of amount of metal vs the volume of the ship. The amount of metal in a real-world ship is just a small fraction, compared to the entire volume of the ship. Most of the volume of the ship is air or other things lighter than iron; that's why they float. If a ship had too much metal, its average density would be higher than water and it would sink.
Well, how would you get the ship to tell whether there is enough open space, or how heavy a block is? What about blocks from other mods? These are important issues that you ought to consider. Thanks for listening!
Well, considering that the developer has posted that he is looking for someone to continue I'm willing to bet that he's willing to part with the code.
Although, strictly speaking, anyone who takes the time to do any reading of this thread would already know that the source has been freely available for download to anyone. Anyone who really wants it badly enough would already have it.

Woah hold on there. I didn't say anything about it having been updated. Only that the source is available if anyone wants to try to update it. It's not hard to find.
I F*CKING LOVE THIS MOD! For the next update, can you possible make the cannons compatible with redstone? I think that is the only thing that is missing from this mode, regardless of glitchy ship that stops when you are 30 blocks away from land.

Are you aware that this mod is discontinued and the last version is for MC 1.2.5, you should at least look at the OP before posting anything like that. This mod is dead, no matter how many people try to make it survive its dead...
Leave this mod rest in pieces its dead, should have a graveyard section on this forum for this kind of topic, its dead unless someone can take it back, the sources are open to the public if I understood what I've read so if someone has the talent to port it, it would be awesome, but I really doubt it for now.
