I just have a quick bug report, nothing big.
I am on a mac laptop, using the technic pack to run Hack/Mine and no matter what I do I can't change the zoom key for optifine, it says I have changed it but whenever I try it hasn't changed and it's still ctrl
Anyway, just some minor annoying bug

Um...When you kill a roflconda with a explosive arrow it will disappear but act like it is still there and push you away from the area where it died. You can kind of fix it by slowly pushing your way into the middle of the explosion so it explodes itself...
It's not just a Roflconda. Killing anything seems to have a chance to make it push you around as a ghost. I just save and quit and reenter. Kind of annoying, though.
Rogue
Rogues are quick and starts with a dagger that can get higher crits if they sneak up on monsters.
There spells are:
Shadow Sneak(Passes through mobs and projectiles, Plus will have a 0:10 blindness on enemy)
Blinding(Makes enemys temporarily blind, But It will blind teammates)
Poisoning(Poisons enemy will active)
Leap(Just a leap like warriors)

The basic healer that helps teammates and uses holy magic, Starts with a holy wand.

I just tested this mod now that it is with the TechnicLauncher on singer player. I only played for about 15 minutes but I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the server so my family and I can play as a team.
Question is this or will this be compatible with forge, industrial craft, or red power?

ok I got the server somehow but now when I start the client it says:

for ages and I can't play the game like that.
The problem is that the only of Done loading bug is that you have to delete bin but then I lose the minecraft.jar too so how am I supposed to do this without the TechnicLauncher (so how do I install it with my hands).

You should get a IRC channel and just leave it open for people with bugs//////// anyway onto the important bug archer's explosion arrow bugs the player if shot while climbing a wall, makes player get pushed away from explosion location/ How to fix Save quit then come back.

Hi, Awesome mod you have here and was wondering if anyone could give me a hand, before i start, i am running 32bit windows 7 with java 6 (32) and using the tekkit launcher to play HSM(....your mod has same initials as high school musical......;_;) I thoroughly read and followed the server instructions yet when i run the usual Start_server.bat (which i changed the file name within) i get this errror

"Start_server.bat"? Is that a convenience tool? Have you tried just opening it the normal way (double-clicking/from the terminal)?
Anyways, if none of that is causing the issue, it sounds like you didn't install correctly. You probably either installed the "net" folder improperly (as in you didn't at all, overwrote the existing folder entirely, or dragged the one from the "client" folder instead) or possibly used the entire contents of the "client" folder instead of the "server" folder, lol. It's also possible when rezipping, you didn't select the files inside the folder, but instead selected the folder itself. Basically, it can't find the "MinecraftServer.class" which is located deep within the "net" folder inside the "server" folder.
This goes for every one of you with similar "ClassLoader" issues.

Improvements to villages are most certainly planned, and will happen soon (inter-village waypoints, vendors, etc)
Flying mobs are also happening soon (first and foremost, the imp!)
Craftable magical items have been planned from the outset of the mod, and will be added at some point. The actual mechanic itself would take maybe an hour or two to add, the problem is coming up with good magical reagents. I could easily slap it on the mod, but this is the kinda thing that I'd like to do well if I'm gonna do it at all.
As for a questing system, I've gotten so many requests for one (despite the fact I've announced many times that I'm adding one), that I'm considering doing something entirely unorthodox with it. I fear anything else would be too boring, since apparently it's so ingrained in our RPG-gamer minds to have it exactly the same in every game. We'll see, though
Customizable areas are definitely going to happen, and should all be doable from Creative mode. I definitely can't give a timeframe, but I'd like to get it done so people can start getting serious about custom maps
EDIT: I'd like to say that I'm seriously in need of spell ideas! Not variations of existing spells, but rather, things that are mechanically different from what's already there (like how Charge is different than, say, Firebolt). I mostly need ideas for the Warrior, but anything interesting would be great!
Getting a Java Exception on Windows 7 on the server.
Since I have the wonderful "You can never update java again" bug, that might be causing it but I don't think so.
And unless there's something wrong in your instructions, I didn't install it wrong.
EDIT: I did try it using the one that other guy posted, and I got the infinite spam error. /sigh
I looked into it, and what's happening is what is known as "infinite recursion", where basically, the code says "if there's an error, try again" until no error occurs (which is, never). For some reason, it can't create the "server.properties" file, though I can't even fathom why anything I changed would effect that. Make sure you didn't leave it open or access with another program, or anything.
Alright, tedious instructions that will help us figure out your problem:
Can you start up a regular minecraft_server.jar successfully? If so, try the modified version again, immediate afterwards, and see if the error occurs again. If that doesn't work, try restarting your machine and starting it again. If that doesn't work, try killing off any processes that could be opening files for some reason (backup tools, for example). Tell me how it goes, hopefully we can get this sorted out.
You need to run as administrator! That should fix it. Adding this piece of advice to the OP
Any modifications to the existing enchanting system? maybe it will just add a prefix to a common item? Or it can just stay the same, that would work too.
Also some spell ideas:
Warrior:
A simple charged hit would be nice, something with a low mana cost that lets say does 150% damage, also maybe a knockback mechanic(more than a normal hit would do)
A defensive buff (short timed) that would reduce damage and movement speed
Mage:
Nothing much, hes a bit overpowered though (his wands are anyways)
Ranger:
Almost the same for the warrior, a guaranteed critical with an added bonus like impale
Ive noticed some arrows just bounce off mobs is this planned or just a minecraft mechanic?
Ranger seems a bit weak compared to the mage
And thats my two cents, ive only played the ranger with a friend being the mage. Amazing work by the way! im surprised on how well you captured the diablo feeling in minecraft.
EDIT: would you consider adding a list of servers with this mod somewhere on the OP? (if the're already there then im sorry, sometimes i think im blind XD)

i have another, mounts
i had ideas of 4 different mounts, 1 is general the other 3 are special
the general is a horse and can be ridden by any class, it slightly faster than sprinting and can climb 1 block steps, can protect you from some incoming damage
the first special is for the mage, a peaceful scorpion that is slower than the horse but the scorpion adds defense and a bit of attack (maybe even attacks by itself?) etc to your stats when ridden, protects from more damage than horse
next is a peaceful raptor for the warrior, slightly faster than the horse but cannot climb 1 block steps and protects from less damage than horse (can attack by itself?)
and finally the peaceful dire chicken for ranger, possibly somewhere between horse and scropion or equal to sprinting, has a slow fall like normal chickens and does not take fall damage, can jump higher, maybe 2-3 blocks high, can flap its wings to gain a bit of altitude but this consumes a large amount of mana (maybe around 25-50, probably 50)
(also attack for itself?)
but i just played with the mod and it is awesome, i actually want to play SSP now (a few ther mods have made me want to play but i never actually played XD)
PS. Evil Minecraft + Extrabiomes RPG/XL + mine and blade battlegear + smart moving + this mod = possibly the most epic minecraft RPG experience ever (that i can think of) granted this mod comes close to that on its own, its very awesome and i hope you continue developement

Well, in hmoptions.txt, the key_zoom is 8, which apparently means no modifier (maybe?). So that should mean that changing the normal key_zoom to 44 (Z), should work, but it doesn't.
