i really think submarines are the way to go, with the water displacement, maybe torpedo blocks? o just dispencers with like exploding arrows from that one mod
This already exists, see the no_follow block list. The blocks will be picked up by the ship, but nothing connected to them will.
I adressed that in my Post as the second option, and thats not what im talking about. I was thinking that it would be nice if you could make it so some blocks like dirt or sand only become part of the ship if a normal part of the ship is underneath it. Read my ful post for more details.

I'm afraid that you have no right to demand anything of people who work hard to make brilliant mods. As a matter of fact, they are already working on it. But coding takes a great amount of time and effort. It is not something that magically happens in an instant. There is a complicated process of waiting for the proper development tools to be updated, then to figure out what needs to be changes, and then actually changing all of it. It also helps to read the last couple of pages of a thread before you post, as several other people have posted the same thing as you, and have already gotten an answer.
I'm doing testing to see what mods that add machine blocks work, and those that don't. So far, BC works fine as long as you don't have any engines. It suffers from severe graphical problems (pipes go invisible) and will cause the pump to occasionally break, and require a replacement. IC2 works perfectly, except the graphics of stuff messes up. BTW works but you have to replace the moving objects (windmills, water wheels, etc.). The graphics also messes up. RP2 crashes minecraft when objects are in the tubes and the craft is activated, and the pipes oddly duplicate. The graphics strangely don't get all messed up, but it leaves artifacts behind when it moves.

I agree! No one has the right to demand anything! I want this mod too! specifically for SMP, BUT I cannot force blakmajik to do anything! So Skylord Tidbit WAIT a.k.a patience. It always makes things go quicker when the modder isn't pressured.

The [1.8.1] signifies that it is for minecraft 1.8.1. Not 1.0.0
wat he meant was that he wanted it to be changed to 1.0.0 so it doesnt matter what the title is
he just wants it in the version that was just released so he can use the mod

Use the install directions in the OP. If the technic pack requires something special, you need to talk to the author of the pack, I cannot support every third party install process.
