@slingshot - that's a very backwards method of handling ammunition when this thread already proposes an ammunition slot, and how exactly would you determine the number of uses? would you only be allowed to craft a full stack of items with a slingshot? or would you need 64 different recipes for every single item that can be crafted with the slingshot so that the "loaded" slingshot has the proper number of uses?
@speargun - you're still talking about a function that could be tacked onto the existing quarrels, or simply handled as a specialty ammo that the crossbow can fire.
I'll just bring up stuff that was told to you a while ago :
#1. Ghast/Grenade Arrows, I know that it can only be stacked once, and that you have to manually reload each one and all the other stuff, but I still think there should be no Ghast/Grenade Arrows, Kind Of makes the grenade, itself useless (Sticks and Feathers aren't that hard to find)
#2. Spear N' Shovel Mis-Understanding, I know that the recipe is to make it more Logical, but I think that it should be (like many others have said) to be
[] []
[] []
[] []
Because :
- It would mess with a lot of people when making the shovel (I know this argument is one of those "if it was here before, no one would complain" but it would be one of those updates that we would have to get used to)
- It actually seems longer when you do that (Optical Illusions...)
- That seems about it
#3. Igniter Bow Logic, I know the Normal Arrow = 2x Dura. + Not On fire is for balancing/gameplay stuff, but simple logic tells me that a wood shaft would burn when ignited...just saying it doesn't seem that logical to just leave them out like that, maybe just make them do what they do now
Something New
#4. Well, this would simply be a new arrow, called the training arrow
it would do 0.5 damage, and act like a normal arrow in every other aspect
it would be made as so

and If other "arrow heads" are put above this in a crafting table, you will get the appropriate arrow
Why :
Creating arrows from the 2x2 Crafting grid, and requiring the same amount of ressources
I'm sick and tired of having Stick + Feather, No flint and not being able to fire anything

Keep the cloth on the training arrow, and don't have it do any damage or knockback. It just stays stuck in enemies and blocks without disappearing, colored so people can see who fired which arrow where. Arrows should not have a way to skip using the workbench to make.

Technically AJ's call. I act as adviser. It's up to him to decide if my advice is worth implementing over other people's suggestions.
I am starting to agree with the idea of crafting the spear diagonally, not out of any conflicting issue with the shovel, but because it does actually make the spear look longer.

Optical Illusions FTW
Theory, I think it's because the sticks are slanted, if the sticks were straight and still the same lenght (which I don't think is possible) then it would look longer up to down

This looks a lot more sensible, still not perfect, but definitely better than the last thread. I still want to see the igniterbows put into use. It'll help balance the explosive and flame arrows
your take on the bolts isn't bad though. I personally think the wood Crossbow should actually be weaker than the regular wood bow overall. String is the actual expense item there. And while the wooden crossbow uses a lot more wood, it doesn't use more string, so it should generally be weaker.
The leather bow is a nice touch, but I personally wouldn't have replaced the stick, but added two leather to the corners:

That would actually make it worth the big boost you gave to it over a regular wooden bow. Well. MAYBE. The leather bow is still probably overpowered compared to the normal bow.
The Iron bow looks good the way it is, though it might not be a bad idea to set it up the same way as I suggested for the leather.
Oh, and yeah, get the crossbow I drew up in place :tongue.gif: That stirrup in the front of the bow is really important for being able to draw the string back with both hands. That's what lets it fire harder than most regular bows.
Your thinking in minecraft terms, though, instead of real life terms. a crossbow can shoot harder because it has mechanisms that allow it to create more torque, not because it has more string than a bow.
Is this a different version of extended 2×2 crafting?
No, 2 x 2's creator is helping me with this thread however
Also I am sorry about the wait on the updates for both my magic thread and this one, I have so much to do atm, assignments and my sister graduating from university means relatives are coming over
I'd rather not. Melee is so boring and the people obsessed with swords get extremely annoying.

Worms, we don't need the spear gun or the additional slingshot.
Blow darts can be made from reeds and cactus spines.
Any type of gun will be a rifle which has the manual reload function.
Poison would be the only issue with both Notch and many users disagreeing.
Both of you just give it up please
What about the ice ball
