I'm looking for a Minecraft mod (for Forge on 1.12) that can generate worlds with global oceans/realistic terrain.
In other words, in this kind of mod, biomes are clustered together into land continents, and then the entire minecraft world has one large vast ocean (perhaps with smaller inland seas spotted here and there), that can then be traversible by boat. In my case, I especially want this since I have DaVinci's Vessels and I would like to be able to "sail the seas" in such vast oceans.
Something that generates worlds that when viewed overall, would look something like this:
I also want this because I am frustrated with how in vanilla minecraft I seem to be stuck with tiny oceans that get no larger than 4km and are land-locked on all sides. This is rather disappointing because it means I cannot make much use for a real boat, other than short-distance ferrying.
I want to be able to travel across the entire Minecraft world on a boat, but also have plenty of large continents full of every biome to explore. Being able to sail from -30,000,000 to 30,000,000 on a long sea voyage, stopping and intermittently settling at continents, would be absolutely amazing.
Is there already a mod out there that does this, and that works for 1.12 on forge? I know of some that do most of what I am describing here (such as Realistic Terrain Generator) but they are outdated and do not work on 1.12.
Looking for similar information.
I'm thinking more of a seed generator of massive maps 25,000 X 25,000 blocks and more. One whose preset can be imported for editing into something...
When I make a map with WorldPainter it's doesn't seem to want to make one past 10,000 X 10,000.
I think that you can change the size of the oceans in the world generation settings when creating a new mod. There is already a configuration that makes the map a one big ocean. Also: since the ocean is a biome you can use the "extra large biomes" world type

Yeah, I’m not sure about 1.12 but
Hmm idk but, it might be possible using OTG (https://www.openterraingenerator.com/)

Check out GeographiCraft or BiomeTweaker.
Agreed with Geographicraft, it's pretty cool. It'll be heavy on the computer though. Hope he's got a pc that can handle this.
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
