Are there any warmth mods already out there? If not, I feel this would be a great edition to those who like "realistic minecraft." People get cold, obviously, but your Minecraft character seems oblivious to the cold open middle of the night, even in snow biomes.
I believe, should the mod not already been made, that enclosed spaces (such as a house WITH a roof, holes in the walls/ceiling/wherever should cause a draft that decreases your warmth meter) will contain the heat, and stop your warmth meter from going down.
Since I am unable to keep my thoughts together in an organized manner, I'll just create a list of ideas.
-Certain blocks should be able to retain heat (optional)
-Certain things like Torches, lit furnace, and other things that may emit heat, should cause the warmth bar to go up, regardless of whether in an enclosed spot or not.
-Biomes should effect the warmth meter. Certain biomes at night will drain your warmth at different rates/speeds. You CAN get too hot (be wary of the desert!) Or you could freeze to death in the Tundra.
This is only meant for a very brief idea, and the only problem I could see is that it prevents you from going out at night, however, I'll compile very quickly some ideas in list-format once again to counter this.
-At night, depending on the biome (let's say it's the Plains biomes), once your meter is depleted, you've got a specified time to get heat before you start losing hunger or health.
-Torches at night should regenerate the warmth bar.
-Remember, this only applies to open areas that aren't in your home.
I'd like to see some responses, whether this would make the game too hard, or whether it's just a pointless mod, or what you think of the idea.
