@Trinary I do like how you kept your idea and changed it a bit using my criticism.... I think it would be good to be more likely to find plants that match the infused stone in certain biomes (like how you're more likely to find Fire infused stone in deserts etc) I think with the geocultism I would love to set up a Pocket Dimension (with dimensional doors) and have a bunch of mini biomes

I thought of another little Idea, another mob that would act similar to golems, but their a lot cuter~ (yea yea yea, I said cute, so what!)
They look like little pixies that follow you around. To find them, you have to grow Essentia Pods first (right? isn't that going to be added, I'm to lazy to look back). You then have to do something to give it life, or rather yet, shove and animated core (for golems) into the pod while its still young and hasn't developed an essentia yet. After you've given it an animated core, the Pod will start growing different, the leaves will form and look like little wings, and the pod part will become clear (unless it's already clear), and over time, the pod will be pushed up off the ground by a thin little vine, once the pod has grown 2 blocks tall, its ready to be harvested. If you break open the pod it will drop an Essentia Pod and if your lucky maybe an animated core or a (correct me if I'm wrong) blank core that you can use to make another core. But, if you put some sort of Air essentia or another Thaumy thingy that is related to flight or levitation in the pod while its 2 blocks tall, then break the stem (not the pod) with shears, the pod will fall to the ground as an item called "Living Essentia Pod" which you can then turn into a sort of familiar that carries one kind of essentia, allowing you to recharge your wand on the go without having to hunt down different nodes!
Let me know what you guys think of that, because I think it would be cool to have little fairy pod like things follow you around, or maybe they could take the form of a dog or a cat but look crystilien and have the essentia "floating" inside them. Maybe it would look like a little ball with 4 legs and an essentia fluid inside it!
@Drako So a node pet??? thats awesome!but maybe instead of feeding the pod some kind of essentia give it a node in a jar and it will have whatever was on that node
@CreepeRave you actualy gave me an idea, instead of growing the pet, it starts off by mutating a pumpkin/watermelon crop, or rather yet, when the vine is fully grown, you just put the node in a jar down, then mutate the vine by forcing an animated core onto it, then it will look for a node in a jar, then grab hold of it and and take it over, and it will turn into a walking node in a jar. the node will be so happy that it can move it will automaticly follow you once your free it form the vine, but know this: if you drain it down to less than 1% of its max essentia, it will die and drop a jar and maybe some sort of plant related thing, maybe fibers that can be used in the growing of golems (booya, related to another idea!) or maybe be a substatute for string in bows and other things like that!!
@TrinaryBrain sorry for the confusion, as I've said, still a bit of a noob to TC4, I was calling it essentia bot knowing that I was meaning Vis, so, in my Idea, replace ever instance of Essentia with Vis! I still like my idea of having nodes in a jar following around and being able to rechare your wand on the go (and not just from mobs)
also, those pets are adorable, and the one with the brain in a jar hat is kinda what I was thinking for the walking jars, only, the entrie thing is a jar with little legs! It would basicly be a Node in a Jar with vines running up the side and four twisted vines at each corner making legs for it to walk with
@Drako.... That is a good idea but I'm not sure whether or not I like it better than the flying node pet :? I would probably have to see it but unless it gets implemented I never will XP
@Trinary... I actually like the idea of the node pet picking up the vis that mobs drop I hate watching those tiny little orbs whither away when my wand is full however If Drako's idea came directly from mine then he was thinking that you could pick a certain node that you want (or if you have AT you can modify a node to make the perfect node in a jar) and then have it follow you.
Also, Trinary, WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS!!! Those are freaking ADORABLE!!! I want them all!!! What mod is that! I want it! I tried to find it but i can only find a bukkit mod called mypet (no s) and it doesn't have any cute little demon pets (at least not that i can find) I want it in my personal world!

Golem Curcuma: basically infusing this into a mob will give you a golem version of the mob each mob will have different abbilities
Mob in a jar: kind of like your very own spawn egg
Arcane Chanterelle: spores off the orbs that charge up your wand
Orb jar: for storing those orbs you collect so they dont go to waste btw not finall name cause idk what those orbs are called someone let me know......these orbs will be needed for growing plants
@Tetris... Will you be able to see the mob inside of the jar? because if so then that would make excellent decoration! Also it would be kind of cool if you could grow a spawner that will start out open and then you put a mob in a jar on it and it'll close up and then you can put one of the orb jars by it (or the arcane chanterelle... which I actually have a question about) and it will use the orbs to spawn mobs....
So about the Chanterelle.... You told me that all of your mushrooms will have a large version so will this mushroom still produce the orbs in it's large size? because if so then you could make an orb farm by growing the chanterelle and then lining it with the orb jars.....
Also about the orbs I think if you're fast enough you can begin to scan them with a Thaumometer.... I did it once by accident but I can't remember what it said they were called XP
@Trinary... I require those pets.... I don't care if you just release a mod with those pets but they are mandatory.... in fact I can almost guarantee that you would get a lot of traffic if you were to create a forum post for it..... even if I had to go out and drag in the traffic myself you would get a lot of traffic.... just the fact that you've already done some of the coding and textures/models make your mod amazing! I just hope that I gave you enough motivation to at least reach a point good enough to release an early alpha..... I mean I could always use more Thaumcraft addons and if it has adorable pets that just makes it all the better!
@Tetris... I think you need to make a banner.... I thought about that halfway through my rant to trinary.... I mean I'm sure the 4 or 5 of us who help with ideas on this thread would all be willing to put a banner in our signatures and comment on other threads and draw in traffic....
Also @Tetris I have a question about the curcuma.... will it make a normal golem model with a texture related to the mob? If so that is kind of cool... I was just curious....
And with the mob in a jar how will you do it? would you just have to lure the mob into a multiblock setup similar to the node in a jar? or will it be like the safari net thingy... the safari net thingy would probably be easier
@CreepeRave @TrinaryBrain ok... so I (again) misread, and made it a bit... hard to understand. so first: @CreepeRave when I was explaining to @TrinaryBrain I was saying that it would START as a walking jar, and you could then infuse it with something thaumy (gah... shoot me now) and that would let it either levitate, or the little legs would turn into wings. If you could help me figure out how to post images onto a reply, I'll do my best to draw up what I'm thinking, otherwise I'll do my best to word it out. Aslo, I like your idea of the jars picking up the little orbs, maybe there could be two different jars, one that contains a node that you can recharge from, and one that follows you around and picks up the orbs and maybe when its picked up enough, it'll form its own little node, and eventualy turn into a walking Node in a Jar (meaning you can kill it on accident, but when its just picking up the orbs you can't kill it)
Ok, for creation of the jar, you start of by planting melon or pumpkin seeds. Pumpkins will allow you to make Strong Walking Jars, (or if you put a node in a jar down, a Walking Node in a Jar). Melon Seeds will let you make Weak Walking Jars (or leaky Walking Node Jars). The reason Melon Seeds are weaker, all tho less common, is because pumpkins allow you to make snow golems and iron golems. I'm trying to say that they have a natural "life" essense to them, making it easier to create other life from them where as melons are very easy to make, grow, and spread.
Second: to get your jar in the air, you must have a Strong Walking jar first. To get it to fly, you either need alot of Air type (Vis, right?) or it needs to be an Air aligned Node. The Air type will help it by allowing it to fly. You will also need Light type Vis (thats still there right?) That will also help it fly (sterio type flying things, light aligned being "holy" like angels). After that you may need to either put wings on it by crafting them with plant fibers, or get lucky and have them grow wings.
Now that I've explained how they are made, now for the attempt on how they look: The walking jar I imagine would/could look something like this (I actualy got lucky when googeling "Walking Jar") http://diablo.incgam...ark-gibbons.jpg now, instead of having the beaker shape, it would look more like: https://fbcdn-sphoto...173494901_n.jpg but with vines wraped up the side and forming little stumpy legs (imagine the log texture on the bottom, with 4 creeper like legs)

So, put that all together and that's what I imagine the jars to look like, but really, someone tell me how to upload pics here and I'll draw it

@Drako Ok now I understand... I like that you kind of add a little bit of customizability to the jar with the ability to make it fly I love mods with customizability I also like how you noticed the pumpkin's life essence thing! I don't think it should have flying just for having an aer node (and by the way light isn't a vis anymore... it is essentia but not vis.. it's equal may be ordo (order)) but maybe feeding it glass phials full of aer or even giving it an aer golem upgrade in fact even using any of the golem upgrades could have different effects... I also don't like having to craft wings for it.... maybe a cool effect where when you add the upgrade it the legs kind of fuse together and move and beome wings....
@Trinary.... If your mod is entirely adorable demonic pets then it is already one of my favorite thaumcraft mods... I don't actually have any ideas for you currently but if you do ever make a forum post (DO IT! and link it here or pm me a link or something) i will post any ideas i get on there.... and of course if you were to make a banner I would add it to my currently nonexistant signature
@CreepeRave yea, thats what I ment. if it has a high amount of aer(thats what you said, that's right right?) vis from the mob drops, or the node inside it is mainly aer, it will "naturaly" be able to fly, but if it doesn't, you can add the aer essentia to it to give it flight. Tho I still would think that it should have some sort of "holy" property to make it fly.
And you said something about customization... I honestly hadn't thought about that and now that I do... you could customize the crap out of it... you can dye the color of the jar, use a different kind of block for the "cork", as well as being able to change what kind of block the legs are! Maybe even (this is like uber hard to do but maybe not!) once you have progressed a certain amount in TC4, you can customize even more! maybe even (now this is purely for aethetics) put a pumpkin ontop of your jar so it looks like a little pumpkin is following you around *fangirl squeal* o.o where did that come form... anyway, you could also use a chisel or something to change the face. You could also put a Watermelon on its head and carve the face out of that (would drop respective seeds after carving). You could even go as far as making little masks for it, using paper, mob drop, and 2 string:

I just think that would be adorable~ having a little creeper faced jar following you around, its little wings flapping hard as you jump off a cliff into your little 2x2 pool of water when suddenly a creeper explodes behind you, spilling your items all over the ground, your little Node jar floats there, looking around to try and find you when you come out of your house and it happily buzzes around you (or if its walking it runs around you exitedly like a puppy after you come home from work)
*sighs* that should be another mod... just... little jar creatures that follow you around that either fly or walk, you can put little masks on them and put a single item in them along with an atrabute item! But like I said, that would be another mod so I won't talk about it here~

I asked earlier if they would be kind of like retextured golems with special abilities or what? like maybe the wisp golem could be kind of shiny and be a flying golem or whatever.... also do you plan to use ALL mobs in vanilla and vanilla thaumcraft or just some?
