How about when a vehicle submerge into water, the air inside the vehicle will stay inside?
Or else people will drown in a submarine under water...
And also remain the brightness if there is any lightsource inside the vehicle.

The reason ships and boats could never do this is that one, it would require so much work its not even funny, and two, it would melt lower end computers because of the physics.
A couple things:
Release won't be for a while, though progress is going steady and I found a way to move entities on the ship.
There will be engines, weapons, and other stuff
Controls will be with a GUI from the control panel

Know now that regardless I and everybody who loved the Zeppelin mod appreciates your hard work.

Seeing others' ideas about engines and so on, I had a few ideas: three types of blocks:
1 - A control block, where, in the case of sailing vessels, would be a helm (he would work only if the boat had a sail, automatically connecting to the rudder and rudder). In the case of airplanes, submarines and ships with modern engines, it would be a control panel with switches, etc., to keep the futuristic appearance;
2 - The engine, since it would the sails for helices (large or small depending on the type of boat / submarine / plane / flying boat / intergalactic fleet) to jet engines.
3 - A block that would be a mixture of a control block and an engine, that would be the engines of small boats and speedboats.

I have a suggestion: piston docking. When an outstretched piston (sticky or normal) in a Zeppelin craft collides with another Zeppelin craft, the smaller craft will connect to the other craft, effectively "docking" with the bigger ship. Retracting the pistons will undock the smaller ship and allow it to fly away. This idea would let people have docking bays in their big-bad-ships, but would also let tinier ships (such as shuttles or escape pods) depart from larger ships.
just thought of something...if the smaller ship is docked INSIDE the bigger ship in some way, and disconnects while the bigger ship is moveing but the little ship is kinda like foalting or hovering but not really moveing yet, could the bigger ship then be moveing around it thus running the risk of the 2 ships colliding? (possibly takeing them both down?) just wondering if you think that might happen. cause I imagine the smaller ship being in a not totally big room (if you know what I mean) in a bigger ship, the smaller un docked and is no longer moveing with the bigger, and the smaller ship hits the wall behind it because it's not going anywhere.
That is very possible, its just a matter of checking if one ship is intersecting with another, then figuring out which is bigger, then adding to motion of the larger ship to the smaller ship.
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the ever popular Zeppelin Mod. Unfortunately, the topic has been locked because it's creator (Blakmajik) has let it become defunct. He's been busy with real life stuff and hasn't updated in quite a long time. He was having trouble coding it with the new single player server functions. As far as we can tell he hasn't worked on it since the thread was locked. That's been quite a long time now.

Sigh..for those of you who have not looked clearly at the spelling, this is a zeppelin mod request. where as you were so eager to point out a link to a zipline. i find that rather humorous actually.
Let's hope blakmajik gets some free time for the Zeppelin mod soon I want to fly around in servers in my Zeppelin
I agree. i'm to the point where i might just put mine craft on my laptop, then downgrade to my 1.25. like run the newest version on my desktop, and have zeppelin on my laptop.

That would depend on when 1.6 comes out. Every time a new update comes out, almost every mod and texture pack has to be revamped. Maybe Mojang could just work on their OWN air craft additions so it's not a P.I.T.A. to keep them all updated?

The most you would ever see would be an air vehicle similar to the airship mod. If you haven’t heard of it, it adds a little hot air balloon that functions rather well. You have to think that since minecraft was launched only one mod has even partially been adopted by mojang.
