We are making good progress. Mostly everything is done, and we are just waiting for a few things to be finished up. Expect the mod to come out within a couple of weeks.
I am talking about the Alpha version. When that is done, updates will come out frequently. We just need some time to organize and coordinate ourselves before we can work at full efficiency.
Great job guys! Keep it going! Also, like everyone else, I have ideas. First you should add seats for the mech, You start out with wooden ones, then you can move onto stone, then iron, then diamond, then titanium. Also, you can put leather on them to do something. The leather thing is unknown, but the seats have durability, and if the seat breaks, then you fall, and for a couple seconds, your mech moving all over the place, and everything is jerked around, as you fell out of your seat. Also, have it so that your mech and player have different health bars, so it is possible to kill the player to make the mech an expensive statue.
For addons you should have a jetpack, that lets you go up but uses a TON of power, like the IC2 jetpack. You should also have it compatible with all the mods in Tekkit, so I can use it in tekkit.
I can't join your mod team, as I can't mod and SUCK at art and texturing, but I can create ideas.
I feel that the "frame" idea of this mod should be something like Voltz - With the missiles and all.
Here's a idea, maybe, have to build the supporting structures first (Which hold the mech) with each supporting beam on one side of the mech, and then you build each part of the mech one by one. Upon doing this, you can then add parts one by one to the beam by right clicking on it. Once all parts are complete, the mech is detached from the beams and it becomes active.
Oh and since mechs are very fuel-heavy you could fuel them with coal or nuclear power. You could have a furnace texture on the backside of the mech with fumes being exhausted out of it, giving the futuristic mech that minecraft twist. Or simply have the mech require nuclear rods for fuel or something.
Personally, i'd love to see a furnace on the back of a giant mech burning away. It'd look awesome.

Okay, I am now officially back! No, this was not a hoax, at least for me it was not.
The reason I had kind of given up was because I had lost a programmer that was central to my plans, and I was not gathering anything from the others either.
This mod is officially under development once again, and since we have taken some losses, we are recruiting modders/texturers once again.
Requirements to join:
Prove me in some way that you actually CAN mod or texture (point me towards one mod you made, or offer me some sort of content).
Pledge you will actually work on this, as we REALLY need to get this mod out quickly as it has been long delayed.
Otherwise, I will just choose one of you to join the team, and there are no more requirements.
Let's get this mod up and running once and for all! Enough delaying and procrastination! Domini Ex Machina is officially back!

I've done nothing but teleport bread for the past three days
I came up with an idea during my long absence, and I will share it now.
I think there should be dungeons, only one of each kind per world, and they contain the blueprints for a super powerful mech.
The mech will not be customizable, but it will be immensely powerful, kind of like a boss mech. It costs alot of resources, but whichever faction controls one or more of these mechs has a huge advantage over the others.
There will be a couple different kinds of mechs, each with a specific dungeon and its trials (puzzles, tough enemies, traps)
Ideas for mechs:
Huge, towering Daemon, making the Komodo look like a kindergardener.
The dangerous Arachnid spider bot, with an ultra powerful laser and turrets on the back.
The flying Archangel, a huge, flying capital ship with a charge shot that can annihilate a whole building.
Post suggestions for these. I think about 6 should be enough (counting these, but if you come up with better, I will replace one of mine)
I have an idea for one of the mechs. okay so... it's going to be an extremely small mech, but due to it's small size, it will be extremely fast and will have ammo that can penetrate some of the best armor in the mod, and does an extreme amount of damage to certain parts of other mechs. the weapons will be two 6 round large caliber revolvers, 1 larger energy blade, and 2 small knives. that's all I've thought of so far, I bet you can come up with the rest.
I was also wondering..... Would it be worth my time to learn how to program/how to model/how to texture?..... I am asking this question, because I don't know much about any of those things, but I REALLY want to be able to help you in your efforts.
