I just came up with an idea for an Avatar: The Last Airbender mod, but I don't know how to make a mod (I would if I could). So if someone would be willing to transfer my idea to Minecraft, that would be great! I can make the textures. (I might even donate if it meets demands.)
Here are the ideas:
When a world is loaded, there will be four Bending Bars for the four elements which will be empty. At the top right corner of the screen, there will be a larger square divided into four smaller squares. When the Player learns a new Element, their bar of that element will fill up, and they will receive a glove of that element, and the player will equip that glove by going into their inventory and placing it into one of the squares at the top right of the screen. After the glove is placed, the Player can exit out of the inventory screen and select the glove by using "-" and "+". The selection of a glove allows the Player to bend that element. Only one element may be selected at a time. To use the bending powers instead of other normal actions, along with the 9 selection boxes at the bottom of the screen, there will be a tenth box that cannot have an item placed in it at the far right.
Along with the regular villages, there will be Air Temple, Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, and Water Tribe villages. The Villagers will not resemble testificates, but will resemble the Player's structure. Each village will contain a temple at one end of the village that will house 6 special NPCs: 5 "Elder" NPCs and 1 "Trainer" NPC.The Player can obtain special clothing by trading new items called "Sacred Orbs" with the Elder NPCs. Each Elder NPC will trade only one article of clothing of the same element of the Village, but the fifth Elder NPC will trade a piece of Avatar Clothing. The "Trainer" NPC will allow the Player to learn a new element by trading with them an Ender Pearl. Player may trade with a master NPC a total of 5 times. The first time, Player will receive a "bending glove." The next 4 times, the Player will receive a "Sacred Orb." The Clothes resemble the structure of armor. Each article of clothing will increase the length of the Bending Bar of the same element as the village the clothing was obtained from. For example: the Waterbender's Hood, obtained from a Water Tribe village will add 200 points to the Waterbending Bar. (The Avatar Clothes increase all Bending Bars.) These villages will occur twice as often as regular villages, but will only spawn on certain biomes (This is Different for Air Temples):
E.K. Villages will spawn randomly in Desserts. The houses will be made of a combination of sandstone, orange wool, dirt, and smooth stone. They will wear clothing that resembles the Earth Kingdom clothing from the show. There will be flags made of wool that have the Earth element logo.
F.N. Villages will spawn randomly in Plains. The houses will be made of a combination of obsidian, red wool, wooden planks, and cobble stone. They will wear clothing that resembles the Fire Nation clothing from the show. There will be flags made of wool that have the Fire element logo.
W.T. Villages will spawn randomly in Tundras. The houses will be made of a combination of snow blocks, blue wool, and smooth stone. They will wear clothing that resembles the Water Tribe clothing from the show. There will be flags made of wool that have the Water element logo.
A.T. Villages will spawn randomly at an altitude of 135 with a base of dirt that looks as if it were ripped from the ground. The houses will be made of a combination of wooden planks, moss stone, and smooth stone. They will wear clothing that resembles the Air Monk clothing from the show. These villages will only contain Elder NPCs and Trainer NPCs in their temples. There will only be 4 Air Temple Villages.
Bending Details:
Airbending Moves
Air Stream - By holding "Left Click", Player can blow a constant stream of wind that will either *break, **destroy, or cause no effect to blocks hit. Mobs and broken blocks hit will be blown to end of stream. Stream ends at 8 blocks from Player. Attack lasts until "Left Click" is released or when Airbending Bar is empty. This move drains the Player's Airbending Bar for 2 points per second. (Unaffected mobs are: Ender Dragon, Ghasts, and Blazes.)
Air Blast - By using "Right Click", Player can fire a blast of wind that knocks back mobs while simultaneously causing damage. Has the same effect on blocks as "Air Stream". Holding down "Right Click" charges the attack while draining the Airbending bar. Attack is cast upon releasing "Right Click" or when Airbending bar is empty. Knock-back Distance=Points Charged/50 Damage=Points Charged/200
Wind Sphere - With the Air Glove equipped, the Player can create a ball of air to elevate the player by pressing "Space" while in mid-jump. This move increases the Player's movement speed and can be used to climb up one adjacent block rather than jumping. By holding down "F", the Player can ascend upwards and holding down "Left Shift" lowers the Player. This move drains the Player's Airbending Bar by 25 points per second.
*Air Stream will break - rails, levers, buttons, redstone repeaters, redstone torches, redstone dust, cactus, trap doors, wooden doors, signs, ladders, torches, stems, wheat, cake, nether wart, saplings, tall grass, flowers, lilypads, pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, cobwebs, and mushrooms. **Air Stream will destroy - snow, leaves, fire, water(source or non-source), lava(source or non-source), and vines.
Firebending Moves
Flare - By using "Right Click", Player can create a fire in their hand. This move costs 1 point to use. (Casting Flare is required to use "Fire Blast" or "Fireball.")
Fire Blast - By holding "Left Click", Player can blow a constant stream of fire that causes 1 damage per second and lights mobs and blocks hit on fire.Stream ends at 8 blocks from Player. Attack lasts until "Left Click" is released or when Firebending Bar is empty. This move drains the Player's Firebending Bar for 2 points per second. (Has same effects on blocks as "Air Stream".)
Fireball - By using "Right Click", Player can fire a ball of fire that causes damage. Holding down "Right Click" charges the attack while draining the Firebending bar. Attack is cast upon releasing "Right Click" or when Firebending bar is empty. Damage=Points Charged/100
Lightning Bolt - When "Fireball" is charged for 1000 points, the attack becomes a bolt of lightning instead.
Earthbending Moves
Lift - By using "Left Click", Player can highlight certain blocks or cancel using highlighted blocks, then Player can move highlighted blocks around by using "Left", "Up", "Right", or "Down" keys. "Enter" and "Shift" can cause highlighted blocks to rise and fall. (Directions are based off of way Player faced when first block is highlighted.) By using "Right Click", Player can launch highlighted blocks toward the direction the Player is facing. (x-coordinates and z-coordinates only) Blocks stop when in contact with stationary blocks. (Multiple blocks may be highlighted.)
Certain blocks use more Earthbending Points when highlighted and cause more damage to mobs:
1/4 point - Sand, Gravel, Lever, Button, Stone press. plate, and Redstone dust.
1/2 point - Clay, Dirt, Grass (Dirt), Half blocks (***Stone, ***Cobblestone, Sandstone, and ***Stone brick), Netherrack, Soulsand, Mycelium, and Farmland.
1 point - *Cobblestone, *Moss stone, Sandstone, *Stone, *Stone Bricks, Silverfish block, Glowstone, **Stairs (Cobblestone and Stone brick), Glass, Glass panes, and Redstone repeaters.
32 points - Iron door, Iron bars, Iron block, and Cauldron.
64 points - Gold block.
100 points - Diamond block and Obsidian.
1000 points - Bedrock and End portal frame.
Rock Shards - After highlighting a block by using "Lift", Player can change certain blocks into a group of rock shards that causes 2 damage per shard and then into cobblestone and back into shards by using "X" or "Z". This move uses no Earthbending Points. Shards can be launched by using "Right Click." (Rock shards will not be blocks but will be items.)
*These blocks can be changed into 8 "rock shards". **These blocks can be changed into 4 "rock shards". ***These blocks can be changed into 2 "rock shards".
Waterbending Moves
Freeze - By using "Left Click" while aiming at a water source block, Player can turn the water into an ice block. This move uses 1 Waterbending Point.
Water Lift - By using "Left Click", Player can highlight water, snow, or ice blocks or cancel using highlighted blocks, then Player can move highlighted blocks around by using "Left", "Up", "Right", or "Down" keys. "Enter" and "Shift" can cause highlighted blocks to rise and fall. (Directions are based off of way Player faced when first block is highlighted.) By using "Right Click", Player can launch highlighted blocks toward the direction the Player is facing. (x-coordinates and z-coordinates only) Blocks will break when in contact with stationary blocks after being launched. This move uses 1 point per block highlighted. (Multiple blocks may be highlighted.)
Ice Shards - After highlighting a block by using "Ice Lift", Player can change ice blocks into a group of ice shards that causes 1 damage per shard and then into snowballs then into a snow block then into a water source and back into ice by using "X" or "Z" ("X" goes forward in the cycle while "Z" goes backward). This move uses no Waterbending Points. Shards can be launched by using "Right Click." (Ice shards will not be blocks but will be items.)

I love Avatar, but i don't know how to make mods. If anyone does make this mod than i'll be second to download since of course your the first.

umm... i know only alittle of java, and if someone more knowledgeable takes this up, it would probly work out better... but i think i will try to make this. its an awesome idea.
I'll be willing to make that. It seems like a challenge :P. I am fairly awesome at coding in Java, and I'm learning more this week. I'm taking a Java course. Anyways, I could probably do that. But I'm terrible at textures. If you could make the textures I'm sure it would be a way better mod. And, I'm kinda low on money right now, so just 10 or so dollars would make me very motivated. I'm saving up for a better computer so I can start making YT videos. If you're interested, just say so. (I can make the models of the mobs, but not really the textures).
if you are going to be making it, i will stop trying to. ( i dont want to get in a competition) i have a sugestion for the air temples though, maybe look at the stronghold code

Yeah that sounds good, but I'm not even done with it. When I was typing, I accidentally messed it up, and I haven't felt like retyping it yet. Sorry it's not complete. :/

Thanks guys! I'll try to help with both.
What do you mean you messed up? I was proposing that you, Cogito, and I could work together to make it. You could do textures, I'll do modding, and Cogito could do modding and texturing(if you want Cogito).
In the show there are only two Air Temples. I don't want it to be too different than the show.
In the show there are 4 temples. The northern and southern appeared in season 1, the western appeared in season 2, and the eastern appeared in season 3, where they hide out with
Zuko

Famouse quotes to live for:
"You can own the earth and still, all you'll own is earth until you can paint with all the colors of the wind."
"I wanna fly high! So I can reach the highest of all the havens. Somebody will be waiting for me, so I have got to fly higher."
"Wait, think about this. Chaos comes with chocolate rain! Chocolate! Rain!"
Wouldnt the Earth Kingdom be green? cause Toph wore green clothes? I think u should swap the Air and Earth cause Aang wore shades of orange and yellow...i think u got it backwards
Love the idea!!!
I think it's awesome, but I don't know any Java. Really wish I did, though, and if I did, I would try to help.
Good luck, and I hope it works out!

You're right, I forgot about the Eastern Temple and Western Temples. Sorry about that.
