Ive been looking into the armor and have yet to find anything but if someone could it would be a GREAT help if you could make textures for the armor (not the texture for when its in your inventory, if you go into the minecraft.java and go into folder armor a texture like that)
Also the poles im thinking something like half slabs but shorter and is harder to walk on cause you have to walk straight.
As for ledges to climb up that is impossible unless it was a ladder type if its a block you would have to be able to stand on it.
Maybe putting on a Climb Glove would change the collision with cobblestone to raise???
Thats all i know about game-creation (I used to learn GML)

I didnt even think of that. Will look back into it.
A collision with a climb-able block (cobble, moss, ledge, other stuff) would check if you have a Climb Glove equipped, and if you do you would check if there is a solid block above you, and if there is then you wouldn't move up, but if there isn't then you would move up, in the same way as you climb up a ladder.
I've noticed a handful of climbing mods knocking around, so long as you can get a modder to help attach climbing with certain items (e.g. climbing gloves) it shouldn't be too hard. and i know there are some which allow all blocks to be climbable.
I have played brotherhood, and I recall that alliance is 3 teams of 2, in which each team hunts 1 of the 2 teams, while being chased by the other team. This possibly could be implemented too.
And for what the hidden blade is worth, might be worth thinking about a slightly harder recipe. maybe not more items as such, just a little more complex?
I noticed there wasn't much of a locating system. there was one about a gold bar, but that states distance not direction. It might not need to be in the HUD, but maybe an easy made item like the Compass, that can be updated with missions etc.
Anyway, keep the thread going. I will return when I can, as this seems to be getting more and more interesting.
Maybe the pic I made about MP could be an advanced variant gametype, and the regular would be a enlarged compass, pointing to your target, and the gold bar considering how close you are to your target.
also i have done a little picture of me doing a leap of faith with a possible gui set up:
tell me what you think..
also i think when you want to hide you can jump into a patch of sugar cane (obviously with a modded texture) and your model disappears , like the one in my picture but it would be great if the coder could make it so the sugar cane doesn't grow and doesn't need to be touching water, as for the actual climbing i have an idea where you can jump on top of fences... and jump from one fence to the other since there's no other block that is able to stand on and somewhat resembles a pole sticking out of the side of a building...
I've uploaded a video of possible Jumping courses and objects... all that's needed to be done is to change the ladder texture to a black dot or a better hole texture symbolizing a hole in the wall therefore no need for a glove to climb... unless u want to make it be able to "leap" also you could have fences connecting buildings at the top to run along... again need to mod sugar cane to allow the hiding to be possible.
Here is an idea... There are 3 - 4 trap doors when you have run in it triggers them to close one door and that door shifting will change another door... thus causing the door to close on the person behind him and him getting away safely through the door that opened
Instead of changing the ladder blocks texture, just duplicate the ladder class and change the ID and texture!
I was playing brotherhood and they still have ladders +D

hmmm good idea i have no modding experience with this game only graphics experience
:smile.gif: by any chance could you make a armor texture for the robe.
My though is that you make a assassin robe instead of using a different skin (which i think is what they mean on the op) I can make the mod for the armor if someone can make me a texture for it.
It will be a assassins robe If you can let me know because i have a few in mind

Not sure if your talking to me or not but the way im talking about it is that you craft a glove type thing that you would combined with the body part of the assassins robe and you could pretty much climb up anything.

But the ledge can be climbed up WITHOUT a Climb leap glove
Now now, you just wasted 14 iron and 1 diamond to create a new sword, when you could of just used 2 iron and 1 stick. So this weapon should have some advantages.
In multiplayer, other players will just see it as your hand. Useful for stealth attacks on other players +D
It damages 4.5 hearts
It can be dragged onto your player character in your inventory screen and it will be usable, so it is good for storage.
Killing a neutral mob will not make them become hostile, as well as their companions.

I had said to not use loads more resources, but to make it more complex. I had no intention of rattling your cage, as there seems to be a problem, I'll give you what was my idea.
If you can make another kind of block that could enable smaller parts. These smaller parts can be used in the place of bigger ones, stopping waste. As I had tried to explain, I wanted complexity, not mass resource use. so an iron/steel bar can be crafted into say 4 or 6 small iron/steel pieces, and use a further recipe or 2 to craft the hidden blade. naturally this would be very difficult to make the pieces in the crafting grid so like suggested already, a new "blacksmith" block maybe. which can turn 1 bar into the pieces, to then be assembled into the respective weapon(s).
If there are any questions or problems with this idea, by all means let me know.
So if you give 1 iron bar to the blacksmith, pay him then you get 4 small iron bars? I'll take that in mind.

Could the hood have some sort of pumpkin blocking texture, except it blocks the top view or something
I will be using them soon
