Hi, I've been looking for a 1.8 version of this mod a lot and the latest version of it I can find is 1.6.4
The mod is basically where your POV isn't an HUD, but rather just your character, so you can see your body and when you swing your items it come from your torso, rather that the side of you head.
I would REALLY appreciate if someone were to update this mod, because I feel it would be a really great tools for making machinimas, and just an all around gameplay enhancement. If you were to update this mod I would fully credit you to any scenes in a video I use of the mod and probably include a portion of the video where you would get a shoutout because of how cool the mod is!
PLEASE if you are good at porting mods to newer versions, update this mod for the good of minekind. Thanks
Short answer, no. For a couple of reasons, the main one being that it is illegal. The mod's license says:
You may decompile this mod to study its code only.
In other words, if you were to decompile this mod and manage to update it to a new version, it would not be allowed. Not to mention redistributing it after that. There would really be no other way, since the mod's source code is not available anywhere (as far as I know). Even if that was not included in mod's license... you would still need a heck of a lot of patience, skill, and knowledge to do anything with the decompiled mess.

Realistic Torches - Causes torches to burn out after a configurable amount of time.
Nature's Compass - A utility item that allows you to search for any biome's location in the world.
Okay, thanks. Although, I wasn't aware of the mod's license as this very mod was updated from 1.5 to 1.6.4, by a different person.. Just out of curiosity, say someone re-made this mod from scratch to a new version (or any mod for that fact) would it still be against the rules as it would probably have different coding? Just wondering

Well I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the original author handed over the project to the new author. So that's not really the same principle.
I suppose it wouldn't really violate the license if somebody built the mod from the ground up. So it would be legal, but maybe not ethical, per se, since you'd more or less be copying someone else's idea.

Yeah, ok. Thanks for the confirmation on whether or not I'd be able to use this mod for videos
