This problem started about yesterday (July 16). Before then, all Optifine versions has been working flawlessly, except for the ones for Minecraft versions 1.8.3 and above. They have a bug with glass panes (stained or not) where the top and bottom and sides of the panes look incorrect and buggy (Images 1 & 2). This is very difficult to notice on the default resource pack, but this bug shows with all resource packs.
Why am I letting this so minor bother me? I have a creation, which is a vertical tube made out of black glass panes with lava in it (Image 3), and the bug just makes it look ugly.
This has only been a problem with the latest Optifine versions. But yesterday, I opened up a game with an Optifine version which has always been working, and for some reason, my issue with the most recent versions had started appearing in all of them. I even opened up Minecraft 1.6.4 with an Optifine version which has been functioning, and the bug was appearing there too.
Also, earlier tonight I was playing with Optifine and the Minefactory Reloaded mod, and then the glass panes wouldn't connect at all. I understand that the Minefactory mod changes the ID of glass panes, so it would be difficult to make adjustments to them, but the thing is it was working before! The regular glass blocks would connect just fine, but the panes just stopped connecting.
To sum up, Optifine has been changed severely. All versions for all versions for Minecraft have been modified to the point where I can't stand to play with it anymore. That stinks, because I love Optifine (had to donate 4 times to get my cape to work because I really wanted one), and I love the connected textures feature. And I don't want to stop playing without it. I guess the question is, is there a way I can revert any Optifine version back to the way it was?
I hope all of this makes sense and isn't gibberish. And as always, any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Make sure you've downloaded the latest version of Optifine. If you have forge, update that to the recommended version. If there isn't a recommended version, use the latest.

I am a huge Optifine fan. Enough said.
