I just wanna give a little advice to all of the modders
This is very important, specially if is you are making a mod and want to keep the immersion, please don't rely on people having to use NEI or visiting the Wiki to undestand what to do with your mod or how to make X block... all the information should be aviable IN GAME , I highly recommend having books, with all the documentation about how to get started with your mod
by example...Azanor the all mighty creator of Thaumcraft a very big and complex mod, and what's all the info you need to get started? craft a wand, use it on a bookshelf and done... you don't need to go to the wiki or even using NEI to learn anything about the mod... that's good design
Im not saying that if you make a "dirt to diamonds" mod, you need to make an in game book about it, but if you are going to make a semi complex mod, please....provide the player with a guide to understand what to do.... something like "getting started with X" or "blood magic for dummies" so people wont need to go to the wiki or watch a mod spotlight every time they want to build something like a multiblock structure or a special recipe...
and personally i think using NEI breaks the immersion in the game....i like roleplaying if i wanna know how to make a Pizza on minecraft, i would prefer going to my house and finding my cookbook that just pressing E and typing pizza with NEI...
i hope it reach some of you guys....that's all...happy modding
