Pretty good models I see.
I've told like 3 people to get me a fighter already and they don't get back to me lol.
At this point I'll take pretty much whichever of the listed vehicles. Just make sure to give me a sketch or draft to make sure I like it before commiting.
Heavy mech; Medium mech; Light aerofoil fighter; Aerial transport; are the big things i need

I've seen that heavy mech on deviantart before, if you could make it minecrafty that would be amazing. I would do without the arms.
That looks much more like a light mech; though I could make the ravener into the medium mech, that would work.
Idea- I could keep the arms in a fixed position and use them as a weapon mount
As for the fighter - No. lol think WW3 not WW2
The transport I was thinking antigravity instead of aerofoils, but if you can manage to make it look good.
I love the Galaxy from Planetside.
Also size is an issue, I would like mechs to be 4x4x4, maybe 5x5x5 for the large one. For the aircraft I'm not sure, try to keep it as small as possible while still being able to fit a mech into the cargo bay.
Remember to not include weapons, instead make mounting points for them, which must be aligned flat with either YZ or XZ.

Will discuss details of your models on skype.
I am still confuse currently so chat on skype?(HoopAWolf)
About half way done with a medium mech. Should I make the legs bend inward or outward?
Hmmm I'm really wanting to avoid arms on the mechs, arm-like weapon mounts aren't practical. Though I guess it wouldn't hurt to have one mech that way.
Though Thut just pointed out that arm-mounted missiles/rockets would be a good thing. Which is ironic because most mech designs are arm mounted guns and back mounted missiles, would then be backwards. Lol I should do that just to be ironic.
Don't put in a window. I would only consider a window on the light mech.
Note I very much dislike mechs with a humanoid torso, the human frame likely evolved the way it did so that eyes were as high as possible, either that or to make carrying things easy[1] - with mechs that is irrelevant and just makes you an easy target, it also makes balancing much more difficult.
It looks like you're making a mecha and not a mech, mecha being the stereotypical anime giant robot.

Maybe the mech I am making could be light. It would be fairly fast, like for scouting and would have legs so it could get over rough terrain easier than wheels. but the mech would have a light gun slot on one arm and a launcher on the other. The mech, though would not be powerful enough for other than very short battles. Only a suggestion so I could change the model if you want something else.

I'm now thinking for the light mech it will just have a single light weapon. So if you could make arms that look like a human holding a weapon then that is the thing todo.
I would wait and see how HoopAWolf's light mech turns out before proceeding, but it's up to you.
......................IDEA!! I'm a huge fan of Appleseed, so a landmate/guges type mech would be awesome. It will have a single light weapon or launcher.
Its role will be being cheap and fast, primarily for raiding undefended outposts or defending against infantry.
So instead of a light mech it's more of a powerarmor. The difference being a powerarmor doesn't have a cockpit and requires you to move your limbs as they are in the limbs of the robot.
So now there are 4 mech types
powerarmor- single light weapon or launcher
light- launcher and light weapon
medium- two light weapons and a launcher, lots of equipment slots
heavy- two heavy weapons
Kaelum convinced me to add a hover tank.
It will have the equipment and durability of approx a medium mech, but will be much cheaper and slightly faster. It needs two people for dedicated driver and gunner, and have a single heavy turret.
For the design I'm defintely thinking like an aeon blaze

I have some ideas
1. When A mech Dies Instead of just exploding, then disappearing it should leave a black, burnt mech wreckage behind that you can clean up and gain resources. (scrubbers could gather it)
2. An adjusted version of my mech/powerarmour to the things you said: (unfinished still)
The shoulder looking thing on the left side of the picture is an gun slot. It is near the cock pit level so the player can aim better. On the right side of the picture is a resource gathering claw like on the engineers in supreme commander that could clean that charred mess that dead mechs make to gather more resources than cleaning it your self.

Hm it now reminds me of a starcraft SCV. Perhaps I could make it separate from normal mechs and use it for a specialist mining/salvaging role like you're thinking. Mining lasers will be equippable in light weapon slots, but this one would get a bonus to speed or cargo or something.
I very much like the idea of mechs becoming wrecks instead of just dropping iron. I could easily make a universal wreck texture that would look good.

Say Hello to the P.S.R.V. (Personal Salvaging and Raiding Vehicle) I noticed while modeling my model was to small for a light mech so it is now a powerarmour. It could make you run 2x faster and the armour would have 20 Hearts (40 Hp) and 7 defense points. The model is basically done just need to tweak it a little bit. So... Here... It... Is... Is it good for enough? my techne user: http://techne.zeux.m...erp_4_The_Movie

Modeling the Ravener. Decided against the missile silo... For now.
Preview of the leg (Unfinished)
I'm trying to make it sorta close to both the BFR and the Mantis from Halo 4. Maybe the AT-PT too. There will be little armor plates here and there.
Hope ya like it.
EDIT: So while working on this, I spent at least half an hour trying to get the back of the leg to look right. Then I remembered that it wasn't a BFR. It was a Ravener. Well, that sounded overdone. Really. Just say it in an overly deep and heroic voice.
Another progress pic:

Aaaaaaand... More pics!
More reserved space.
It was for me at first but once you go through a few tutorials its so much productive, faster, and more stable. What you do is just shiftA in cubes then g r s them as necessary.
Though I have a feeling UV mapping may be slightly more difficult I'm sure it will be worth it.

okay are you just looking to have someone do uv mapping and texturing of preexisting models? or did you want me to start making textured models? i do have skype it was an msn account so my user name shows up as Warzel Darkfire to me but the old email is [email protected]. if you want to email me i suggest [email protected].
if i understand properly and you are looking to get preexisting models textured, just shoot me over the model and any concepts you may or may not have for it. i have used a number of different programs so do let me know what program you used to make the model and if preferred what program you want me to use when texturing it back out.
I am looking forward to working with all of you. I hope my services will help in the achievement of your goals.
But don't dare you think of not using cubes, that is

Aerial transport: http://media.defenceindustrydaily.com/images/AIR_A400M_Rollout_Seville_Top_lg.jpg
and message me on skype(if you have one) so that i can send you my progress easily
but if you don't or don't want to then minecraft forums will be ok

I just realized an issue with powerarmor, it may be difficult to make it synch with steve's leg and arm movement. I may have to coremod.
P.S. in case you did not see there are two legs not one big leg
I think I'll make it triangular from the top and a sort of v shape from the front. But for now I'll keep it as is so its not overcomplex.
After using blender I'll never touch techne again.
Classic window!
