If I had a dollar for every minute I spent in pure confusion on a legit (no cheat) play through of this mod I would be filthy rich. In fact i would have enough money to bribe the creators of the mod to stop making mods. Unless you have played since day one or have a veteran player of the mod step by step help you out you have no clue what to do. There are no full guides that explain this mod in depth. Spotlights; all the people do is use creative and say how cool the mod is with all the items. The mods official website; once again no detailed instruction. At this point even if someone instructed me how to play it through and paid me to, I wouldn't. I even at one point attepted getting on the server...1.3.2 (enough said) I think the peopel behind the scenes should hear one tip, SLOOOOOOW DOWNNNN.

As a personal preference, I do not like the mod either. For me, it adds far too many new features, blocks, ores, and items. It seems IMO that someone smushed together 50 "first mods" into one big mass of rainbow, basic texture'd blocks and called it a total conversion. I get at it adds new bosses/mobs/dimensions and such, but even those, it just seems less like a total conversion when it adds that much pointless stuff.
Dont listen to them, The Divine RPG mod is amazing. As long as you know that the mod acts as a game extender, you dont get to see the real glory till after you go to the end. Please keep up the good work, but one question to anyone who may know. The damage and armor values seen on the weapons and armor on the wiki page, what are they in reference to? For example a realimite sword has an attack power of 6, whats that compared to and iron or diamond sword?

The minecraft wiki shows some damage values for the default weapons, in terms of hearts: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Sword
According to it, Iron does 3 hearts damage, while Diamond does 3.5. It states that crits add up to 50% damage.
I'm not sure of course, but I suppose that they'd use the same, or a very similar scale, which would make the realimites sword twice as powerful as iron.

Yes an a halite blade (crafted with ultima stones) deals a massive 53 hearts, which is around 15 times a diamond sword. *Faints...
EDIT: they are also enchantable because they have durability(items in divine RPGs That do not have durability can not be enchanted.
This mod is what got me back into minecraft. I had beaten the enderdragon and had stacks full of diamonds, fully enchanted armours, fully enchanted weapons. I had saved up about 500 levels so the anvil was no use, i got them all up to X pretty quickly. It just got boring, but then i got this mod, started a new world, I haven't even gotten to the nether yet, I'm too busy looking for realmite. I mean a pick with 4000 uses, unbreaking 1, sil touch and efficiency 3. Along with fortune 3. The anvil makes things easier. I can't get enough of this mod. Along with the other 20 that i have.
Edit: The realmite sword is made to use as A backup. For example say you are in the nether and your diamond sword dies. You pull it your infinite uses realmite sword and you are good to go.
Edit #2: Never mind that realmite thing Naao pretty much covered that better than i could.
This mod is epic, and i'm kinda new to it so where exactly do you get Divine stone?
First, you will have to make a twilight clock. It is crafted by putting 9 clocks in a crafting table. Get realmite armor, then get Arlemite or elite realmite armor. There are very large amounts of armory in this mod, but this is the recommended path. Note: some armor recipes have changed, Like in realmite armor the helmet recipe has changed. Next get rupee armor and finely bedrock armor. These 3 are overworld rare ores and I guess you can harvest bedrock with rupee tools.
Once you have the armor you should put an arlemite ingot and a rupee ingot in a crafting table to create a shadow ingot.
Next go to the nether, and find netherite ore, It is a red gem.
Smelt your netherite ore into Netherite ingots.
Then place your netherite ingots in a cross in your crafting table to get a netherite chunk.
Next you put 2 shadow ingots in the upper left and upper middle of your crafting table, then put your netherite chunk in the middle left.
The output will be a hellstone ingot
face the overworld boss "the ancient entity!
The ancient entity: has 1800 hearts and is spawned with the mysterious clock, which is crafted by surrounding a regular clock with hellstone ingots.
So just out of the gate, I decided to try this mod and found that it's almost impossible. My first death was by some corrupted dino, second by a red headed cyclops and not to mention the moaning sounds the mobs make are extra frightening. I spend more time running from mobs (which btw have a seemingly HUGE aggro range and speed) than I do mining. I spent the night in a village because I just couldn't get enough materials together to build something before nightfall, even with a starter chest!
Next morning, my village was surrounded by one eyed brown cyclops and full of pumpkin headed skeletons. I wasn't sure about the skeletons but quickly learned they were nice fellows (even though the Rei's entities map disagreed). As for the cyclops I wasn't going to take a chance. I simply god moded and killed them outright.
I for one and very disappointed at the complete lack of crafting recopies made known to the public and the seemingly high spawn rates and difficulty. I keep hearing "Well it's more of an end game mod for after you conquer the end", well then, what's with all the crazy before you even get close to the end? Back to crafting, some of these recipes don't make a lot of sense. Some use sticks as a base component for weapons/tools and others need like 18 bars of some semi hard to find ores from what I CAN gather from the wiki pages.
My biggest gripe is that the title suggests this is an RPG, what's so RPG about it? There's no NPC, no class specific anything, no character development short of equipment. Short of some fairly cool magic item ideas, there's nothing RPG about DivineDPG, at all!
Frankly I HATE the idea of having to watch some 60 minute youtube video to get an idea of what to do from some ADHD narrator, that could have been slimmed to 5 minutes had he just stuck to a script. I've seen too many to chance it again. Wiki pages are wonderful, heck even android apps are nice. But this mod lacks both at the time of this posting. The few texts and guides don't even begin to scratch the surface and many of the items you need to compete with the overworld are so far of starter reach as to label impossible without cheating.
I'd love to defend this mod, what drew me in was the landscapes I saw in the ad images! But they are so inaccessible by normal play it's almost a crime. Sure, I can corner/hack/slash and many of the wiki pages suggest on several of the mobs. But that's just sad.... At stock equipment levels, clicking a mouse over 50 times to kill *a* mob is just plain lunacy. And the rate in which I keep finding them? OH COME ON
Anyone else point out how all the dimensions in that mod are basically just the same thing but in different colours with sort of different enemies?
Anyone but me? Eh.

The Emperor's Rage echoes through the hills. The Emperor's Strength grips this land with fists of iron. The Emperor's Courage burns everlasting. The Endless Army will crush the Emperor's foes.
I myself don't like the mod that much, since the mobs are so OP, there's no walkthrough on how to get to the dimensions or anything, and almost all the time you have to rely on NEI to see how to make things. And even then you don't know which mobs drop what, I myself am scratching my head on how to get bluefire stones. Once, I was wearing full iron armor, at full health, and a jungle bat touched me and killed me in one hit. The little jungle lizard things can kill you in 2 hits, the jungle spiders can too. Ridiculousness at its peak.

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
At first the scale of it impressed me but then I payed closer attention to the screenshots and the description of items. I definitely noticed that the new dimensions were just garishly colored copies of one another. Garish is the word for the mod for sure as most of the texture work appears to be oversaturated copies of vanilla.

I have recently tried this mod after seeing captain sparklez use it, and i fell in love with it. It is very fun and intuitive. It adds challenge to the game with its many custom mobs, ores, and dimensions. There are so many weapons and i like how it shows how many hearts each weapon does. It has an easy install, and works great if you have FML installed. I understand how some people may think it is complicated (and i agree with them) but it loses its problems if you get a simple mod like CraftGuide or NEI. I think it is a mod worth trying, at least.

I, personally really like this mod. As many have said before, it is an end game mod, and as many have replied to that, if you can even get to the end. I see this as refreshing, because i've probably beaten the enderdragon about 57 times, and after that there not much to do. Sure you can keep building, but the only reason you upgrade stuff in any game is so you can try it out against something that could kill you. I do, however agree that a large amount of the monsters are op. It takes about 30 hits from a serenade striker to kill a cyclops, and apparently the serenade striker does 100 damage, how thats measured i dont know. moreover, the cyclopes spawn on the regular world, and tend to spawn in groups. Another thing is, you shouldnt even try and enter the jungle until you have diamond armour cause you'll be destroyed by these op jungle creatures. I died 6 times in a row, and any managed to get away cause he ended up hitting a cactus. And another thing is the monsters agro range. I hit a giant crab, it hit me took about half my health, so i ran, 100 blocks later it was still chasing me. I really believe they need to tweak this mod by making the monster less op, and INCREASE ORE SPAWN RATES! I was mining in the nether for over an hour and only got 11 netherite ore and about 20 blood gems. nonetheless i see this mod as a very good end game mod for anyone who wants a challenge.

Divine Rpg is OP, it is meant to revolutionize the way you play minecraft, turning it into a matter of pure survival wits and relies on your ability to think strategically. If you don't like being killed constantly by mobs you insist are over powered, than find a way to farm the mobs. Also I believe there is a large amount of people that believe all mobs are super powered. Actually its the armor that is underpowered. The Divine Rpg team want to make it more difficult and fun to enhance your experience so therefore all the armors are substantially weaker. And the issue with the custom ores is a unique case. In my early beta testing of divine Rpg I found the ore realmite was rather hard to find, yet when I found it, It was in massive quantities all in close proximity to each other. If you want my opinion, I believe it is a very in depth mod with many features and adds a completely different atmosphere to the mining building game and converts it. In a way, Divine Rpg basically changes your game difficulty from easy to hard. For all you people that play on normal, your basically playing on an entire new tier of game difficulty.
I tried the mod out and I think its a mess. It does not tell you exactly what is stronger and a lot of item info on the wiki is missing. Also, the monsters in it deal too much damage , even in overworld, which is ultra hard for players who have just started a new world.
This mod is epic, and i'm kinda new to it so where exactly do you get Divine stone?
u get the call of the watcher wich is crafted with the watching eye and hellstone ingots then summon the watcher and kill him to get divine shards then craft them with stone to get divine stonetry using NEI to find out crafting recipes idk about other things

i want to recant my earlier statement about the netherite ore being difficult to find, its actually quite easy once you figure out where to look. The only ores that really are extremely rare are arlimite and rupee, but as long as you know where to look for them your fine. by the way, the angelic armour allows you to fly, so most of the mobs are quite easy once you get that and a ranged weapon.
No. We're actually speeding up.
I play Slave Hack, give it a try!
