Could you do Mo' Foods? I have permission if you need it. Problem is, I know nothing about updating mods xD
"I'm sorry, but I've lost the source code. You could try decompiling the last released version, though."
Btw, I can find old mods
Ideally speaking, everyone should be looking! But yes, I would like to try to add it, but because of recent issues I will need to do some checking to be safe. Who made the mod?

Somebody called PROWNIE. It was really popular a long time ago, but then in 1.4, it died It was such a cool mod.
Hey! Thank you for your hard work, I'll be kinda struggling to be online for a while, so I won't be as active as I would like to be! MJS has updated the signature, and as soon as I can I will incorporate the new review and the new signature for the thread!
Sorry for the slowness, I'm trying to get in contact with the makers of Forge about making a compatibility something or other to help bridge the gap from 1.2.5 to later versions, so that the mods can be updated without completely restarting. Thoughts? And who and HOW do I reach these people?
I will HOPEFULLY be getting new mods soon, I have been making PM's to folks at the least.
PS, I'm busy because I'm getting ready for my baby to be born and moving into a new place.

Just saying:
When Minecraft updates, whole classes are changed. In order to do what you'd suggest, you'd need to have the changed files and then patch them in. It'd be too impractical.
Not a bad idea, but it's just too much work.
Also, to update mods, all you do is get the source for the mod, then install newest forge / ml. Then, you put in the new source and solve the errors. Not that bad.
It closely resembles the Genetic Engineering mod... Have you checked that one out yet? It's also called the Grey Goo mod I think. I've found it pretty fascinating. I will try to see what I can do, but I'm also trying to contact the Forge Fellers to see if they can brainstorm some sort of solution to the 1.2.5 menace before I try to add anymore from that version.
yeah, google, but if you need to reply please quote so i can get a notification, thanks anyway
EDIT: uhh, not really what i'm looking for, too big and complicated, i just need a massively block remotion mod, and worldedit is complicated too, and don't give the possibities of the bacteria mod, sorry again but if you can find someone able to update it, i would be awesome
EDIT 2 (damnit):smight check out the goo mod anyway, can help a lot with other mods
I will look into it for sure, I just don't want to secure another source code just yet until I get some solution ready for the 1.2.5 issue. Sorry!
i don't want to appear a spammer/flooder but mine&blade battlegear should be updated too, i do need a mod like that for a series of let's play i want to start.
I tried for it, I contacted the maker and it's absolutely a no-fly zone. He feels that it would be counterproductive all around and I can't argue with that. He's working on a new item though based off Mount & Blade and had to start from the ground up, it was simply far too dependent on hooks and aspects of 1.2.5 that no longer exist. I'm trying to get a hold of Forge Development and am trying to reach people that have beaten the 1.2.5 update curse, but can't seem to figure out how myself. If anybody can help that would be great, but in general until I find a solution that would make the source to that mod able to be used it has to go on a list of things I can't touch.
Could you do Biome's o Plenty? I really need that one, especially for my map I'm making. http://www.minecraft...-biomes-source/ The source code is already out. (Well, I mean when MC updates.)
Ummmm... I'm hesitant, I may add it soon, but it looks like it has people already updating it.
I'll definitely add the mod as it looks awesome, but right now it's in a stage where I think it could get regular updates already. The thread is to some extent like life support, if something is already going just fine with an active community behind it then it may not exactly need it.
Once it falls behind, I'll add it for sure. But right now it's updated even up to 1.4.5... I haven't had the time or the chance to even PLAY the new versions since 1.4.2!
I can contact him about it, (After I investigate as I'm trying to do before sending a message now due to some bad things from before)
but even if he releases the Source code I will still need to find modders that are interested in updating it. I myself am not a modder, though I do recommend people suggest modders to me they feel would be suited to the various mods in question!
I am on the job for both of the above cases, but remember again I am NOT a modder, I will not be updating these myself as I don't have the skills needed.
But... THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUGGESTIONS!

Here's the mod review for the cave-gen mod
Someone read the "Hypochondriac's pocket guide to horrible diseases you probably already have"
don't click this link...

Here, I'm not sure how connected it is, but it seems like a similar attempt.
