So you got the totem lathe working? Sorry, I finally decided I wanted to start, then realized I had updated to 1.0.0 and didn't have a b1.8.1 backup... So, anything I can do now?
The only two things I need are
1. Being able to see the codes on the backs of cards, map style.
2. Being able to punch any code into any card you stick in a Punch Designix.
If you know how to do either of those things, please tell me so I can send you the codes.
I was referring to the map thing, but I hope to be able to help with whatever. :smile.gif:
In that case, I have no code specific for it yet (because I don't know how to do it!
But I'll pm mod-sburb.java to you, and you can do what you can with the cards.
It should happen when you look down at a card (eg. cardwoodPick).
I still need more people to help me with code. I already have someone who is doing nothing but working on the card-map things. However, I still need help on some of this stuff. Here is the stuff with which I need help:
-Punching cards. It should work like a furnace, where the fuel is any type of captchalogue card. However, you type in an 8-character code in place of the smelting recipe. If anyone knows how to do this, please tell me.
-Some people to model and/or texture the totem lathe, designix, cruxtuder, etc.
-A special secret feature that I can't tell anyone about except the guy who agrees to take on this task.
Please help with this if you are a MSPA fan and you know how to program! You can only benefit from helping, so why not?
Hi, I was wondering if you needed any sort of help with the mod, I'm still working on learning Java and will get back to you on that one once I have something that I can actually show for it. other than that I was wanting to know if you needed any help setting up a team of any sort once we have some modders enlisted.

I thought of a compromise for the inventory system, basically if you have spare blonk captchalog cords, any valid item is instantly put in, so that shenanigans may ensue depending on your specific fetch modus.
Along with the compromise, you could also have the whole captchalog system be a specific item that can be added to, with cards, fetch... Modi, moduses? and the strife thingie so that the mod will stay compatible with inventory altering mods, and can still have the full experience, if the idea of an item won't work properly, it could also function more like a inventory Tab system so that you can organize things with greater ease while still staying compatible.
EDIT: I know there's a typo there, I just noticed it, but it's funny enough so I'll leave it.
EDIT TWO: Expanded the idea some more

This is actually the SECRET PROJECT that I was talking about. The difference is, you'd have to craft your fetch modus card, using five cards (corners and center) and different colors/arrangements of dye. Right-clicking on the ground with your modus card would give you a GUI which gives you options, along with an on/off button (of course, turning it on and off ejects your whole inventory, save the modus card). The nearest blank inventory space(s) to the modus card would contain your accessable card(s).
Not actually much of a secret anymore, if you think about it.
You know, if items and blocks are kept in a special GUI then you don't need to make the cards 16X16 just make it so that you can't hold cards in your inventory if they contain an item, while it's not a perfect solution, it would work well enough so that we can develop a work-around and not stall progress because a vital part of the mod is incomplete.
In essence I'm suggesting we make the cards 32X32 pixels so that items can fit inside them nicely, While it wouldn't work perfectly, it would be good enough for development versions.

I love this idea. I wish I could help with coding, but I only barely know python.. Maybe I could help with ideas though. Anyway, good luck with the mod! Will you be adding homestuck mobs, too? I think that would be cool. If you do make mobs, have denzien boss fights, like one denzien is generated per world, with a special chamber where the denzien will be sleeping, similar to a stronghold.

Hmm... are you saying that we, once the modus card is turned on, replace the entire inventory with the fetch modus that the player is using?
That could work...
Basically have the entire inventory (As you suggested) work as the fetch modus when turned on, that way we don't NEED to exclude items from compatibility, It would just act like the normal inventory screen, except for the method of how it lets you access them!

3D if you can, 2D if you can't.

Please give me an Internet if you like.
How to do... the map thing? Typing in characters as a part of a furnace? Or just the mod in general?

Any help right now is appreciated, thanks!
What have you done so far? Oh, and do you think you may be up to the-
SPECIAL SECRET ASSIGNMENT???

I made a signature.
If you think this is a good idea, stick this in your signature!

That's actually a pretty big accomplishment, mind you.

Yes (eventually)
