Hello I hate coming to people with such stupid questions but I've tried for a while to figure it out myself and it's just turned me file system into chaos.
So into the problem! I currently failing at understanding where I should save all new items .png reference I'm also failing at understanding where they are overriding. I've watched / read several tutorial on where to place your files and they all seem to differ which has left me a little preplexed.
Currently I put all my new textures and items in
\mcp44\eclipse\Client\bin\toolfolder
The toolfolder is on the same level as the start.class, however I think this isn't best practice as I've had to readd the folder a few times for unknown reasons, I think eclipise overrides the workspace when you open and close it.
I think when I write derp.iconIndex = ModLoader.addOverride("/gui/items.png", "/toolfolder/derp.png"); it's overriding textures from temp\bin\minecraft and it's respective subfolder of there, however when I added an armor skin to the armor subfolder of the temp folder it just shows up as a big block of on his head for headgear.
And to make everything worse logic dictates to me shouldn't all this be going with the .jar files? Somehow the textures work in the eclipse folder near the start.class but nowhere else.
One more thing, so far I haven't recomplied or anything like that I just run it all from the run client option in eclipse. Could this be the issue?
Any tips clues or solution you could give would be great!
