Oh nevermind. But read the error closely, It doesn't understand the word "Minecraft". There has to be a way to do the code without (Minecraft, minecraft). If not, you just have s really simple error that you aren't seeing in your code and the compiler isn't seeing it either. Find a little error it could possibly fix that error.

Thank you for this thread! It's very nice of you to offer help.
I have a simple question for a simple little thing I need to do. Hopefully the workaround isn't as complicated as it looks:
I have an item, "bottle", that I'd like to have the same rendering properties as a flower, that you can place on the ground and it will show the icon as a pseudo-sprite, and will look like the icon in the gui. I tried a variety of things, such as extending BlockFlower and even just extending Block and overriding getRenderType() to return 1. I should note that I am using MCP and ModLoader, and I'm using addOverride to get the texture from a 16x16 image.
Now, when the block is placed on the ground, it looks nice, rendering like the flowers and mushrooms do. The problem is that the icon (the sprite that shows on the gui and when the item is 'dropped' to be gathered) shows up as index 0 of /terrain.png (the rock surface). Looking deeper into the code it makes sense why this would happen.... but I'm wondering if there is a relatively simple workaround, especially one that doesn't involve modifying the base classes and preferably doesn't require default rendering...
If it makes any difference, you can assume I'm a Java veteran.

I I'm working on a mod wich adds a number of tools but every one of my pickaxe's if I use it on a block (every block) it crashes the game (I've got no errors)

That first number (the number appearing after the name string) is the ID of that tool material. You set Titanium to 2, but that ID is already taken by Iron, you set Litrinium to 3 which is already taken by Emerald and so on. You need to give all four your new tool material types a UNIQUE ID.

Without seeing the code, do you have this line at the top?
import net.minecraft.client.Minecraft;
To reference the class Minecraft you need to import the package that its in (since it is separate from the net.minecraft.src package).
Problem: my flower icon is grey square.
Errors: none it just doesnt work right.
Code:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class mod_Violet extends BaseMod
{
public static final BlockFlower violet = (BlockFlower)(new BlockFlower(113, 0)).setHardness(0.0F).setStepSound(Block.soundGrassFootstep).setBlockName("violet");
public mod_Violet()
{
ModLoader.RegisterBlock(violet);
violet.blockIndexInTexture = ModLoader.addOverride("/terrain.png", "/Violet.png");
ModLoader.AddName(violet, "Violet");
}
public void GenerateSurface(World world, Random random, int chunkX, int chunkZ)
{
int x, y, z;
for(int i = 0; i < 2; i++)
{
x = chunkX + random.nextInt(16) + 8;
y = random.nextInt(128);
z = chunkZ + random.nextInt(16) + 8;
(new WorldGenFlowers(mod_Violet.violet.blockID)).generate(world, random, x, y, z);
(new WorldGenFlowers(Block.plantRed.blockID)).generate(world, random, x, y, z);
}
}
public String Version()
{
return "Violet Mod 1.8.1";
}
}

Your problem, I believe, is right here in EnumToolMaterial:
