Give me three quality selections from the work you have produced, and we'll go from there.
Eh, that's a little problem. I haven't really released many of my mods, as I always try to make some huge project that is way to much work for me alone. But anyways, here are a few examples:

My Stairs Mod (This is really old and crappy. Still, these are the only 3 mods I released)
These all look like decent mods. I particularly liked the ruins mod... I can't wait to see how it turns out. I think I'll set you to work on making Evil Pigman villages, castles.... and ruins. But let me double check with the guys. I'll most likely have answer for you by tomorrow.

Alright, but I hope you don't expect me to make the actual Evil Pigmen. I'm hopeless with making mobs.
I can't wait for this to be realeased it looks awesome!
If it's not to hard you guys should make the spiders able to flip upside down and crawl along roofs, then if the player walks under them they drop onto him, like the spiders in the legend of Zelda. Also, try to make them have "nests" with a spawner (maybe you could make a reskinned spawner) and a bunch of webs around it.
The dungeons in the nether should be awesome. Everyone likes dungeons! They should be bigger and harder than the overworld dungeons and they should have better treasure.
i can help with alot of stuff like New blocks Generating ores items tools armor maybye mobs never tried cus i got a mac i can add recipes smelting recipes and some more :smile.gif:
Sounds cool but please from all the nether mods i've seen It's just a copy of the overworld into the nether so please don't add crops and reeds in the nether and scrap the idea of cacti in nether. If you want Vegetation add someting like nether thistels or somthing and add thorny properties to the trees and maybe long roots 6-7 long and thorny looking leaves. the trees are big and give much wood but are rare. If you come near the vegetation you take damage like cacti. Hope this helps becouse I don't want another overworld in nether copy. (no offence the mushroom forest idea is cool anyways)
and for the ruins your planning to do maybe you should watch this: '' It's from the game doom 3 and it might be cool to inspire the nether ruins from this :smile.gif: good luck.
it isnt a total copy, but ya i thought this too, especially about the hostile mobs, Id rather them not just be upgraded over world mobs

Your a such a great friend that if we were both in a falling plane and there was only one parachute... I would feel really bad and think of you often.
I've posted this in another thread, but I believe it applies here as well:
It would be a neat idea if the trees/plant-life grew upside down from the ceiling. It would add to the freaky otherworldly nature of the realm. I'm also partial to the glowing vines hanging off the tree in the first picture.
As an idea for additional mobs, I thought it would be freaky to have shadow like creatures that travel along the floors, walls, and ceiling as 2D shadows, which pop out into 3d for attacking, dragging you around, etc.
They would spawn from your "shadow" on the ground, ceiling, and walls, but only when you are right next to the highest of light levels, as they cannot be formed without a vivid shadow as a source. This pretty much limits them to spawning only when you're right up against glowstone, standing in the same space as a torch (on the ground or along a wall with the torch in your face), or when you're standing in lava (which most people would avoid I'd hope). This wouldn't affect standing next to a lava lake, as there are technically two blocks of space between you (one block up, then one block over). You'd have to mine/ place glowstone with some space between you, and lighting houses would require a recess to place glowstone/torches in.
They don't damage you, but they push and drag you around, potentially knocking you off of cliff-sides or into lava.
Then there's also the idea for a ghost like creature that only spawns in darkness. They float around with a small blue glow to them, are passive, and make child like, cheerful sounds (cheerful laughing and such).
They remain passive until exposed to a light source, turning red with demonic faces and beginning to shriek/charge at you. At this point, you can either fight them, or kill the light source to switch them back to passive mode.
Therefore, it's best to kill them in darkness before planting any torches.
Obviously, there's some kinks to work out with these, but let me know what you think. :biggrin.gif:

All of these are good, but my favorite of your mob suggestions is the shadow. I'm about to be honest. I'm not really sure if will have space for these, partially due to the fact that they're very humanoid, and we already have two humanoid creatures in the Nether. Wights and Evil Pigmen.
I'd like to get some odd mobs in there, creatures that you wouldn't find in any other place but the minecraft Nether. Perhaps more animalistic/monsterific mobs.

I REALLY LIKE THIS COMMENT. THANKYOU FOR YOUR BALANCED AND FORTHRIGHT ADVISE. I AGREE WITH YOU 99.99%!
Like I've said other places. We're trying REALLY hard not to make an Overworld upgrade out of this mod. (Perhaps not hard enough.) But rest assured, we're listening to ideas and scraping the dumb ones. Keeping almost everything that makes sense and cutting out the crap. We will think thrice more about adding plants to the Nether. The exception to that idea has been that these plants COULD potentially exist in the Nether, because of the way their life functions help them survive. For example... Lava Cacti live near lava. (Real plant, although we've changed it up a little.) If any, I would remove this one.
Saprophyte we're definitely keeping. No ifs, hows or buts about it. (But you haven't heard about this one yet.) LOL.
Grimtrees can exist because they resist warmth and fire.
Nethershrooms and giant Shrooms are just awesome.
But like I said, you bring up a very valid point. We'll be sure to think about these implementations very carefully.

Guys, what you're about to hear might friggen' scare you. I think these mobs are definitely being added. You thought the ghast was scary well you'd better think again. I don't think anyone would want to--
