-Endless Desert
-This desert is barren of most all water and trees. If you want to get trees you will have to travel for long amounts of time. But just because this place is barren above, doesn't mean it is barren below the surface. This endless desert if filled with fantastic minerals like coal and iron.

"Rift"
This configuration is all about the floating landmasses. Has huge caverns and coves waiting to be explored. Land masses decorate the cloud line, and huge oceans flow beneath.
Ok so i tried yours LtdSupply and every world i generate i get no floating islands just mostly flat boring worlds haha i dont know if im doing anything wrong ive installed it correctly i think so just wondering if u could help me :[
I wanted something a bit more realistic looking for my minecraft world, none of the dramatic overhangs yet still nice to look at.
This configuration generates large, hilly islands with some flat(ish) areas for building on. I've reduced cave frequency to put more of an emphasis on mining as well as cut off the player's coal supply to encourage more tree farming. As compensation, I've increased iron, gold and diamond deposits by a significant amount.
I find these settings make me play more legitimately because gathering materials is still a challenge, but not dull like the default ore generation is.

Make sure the .ini file is your .minecraft folder where your saves/resources/texture packs are.

If the world falls to pieces around you, you probably used too much TNT.

Well, in the wiki it says nothing about putting it in your saves/resources/texture packs folders. But it's in my saves and thats it. But whenever I log in, these is the worlds I keep getting
Floating Islands dot the distance skies along with large mountains that together cast ominous shadows ripe with dangerous foes!
**WARNING** These settings have reduced surface ores and overall less ore deposits, this is my custom-tweaked attempt to create a realistic level of difficulty, AKA no more 32-64 block large coal deposits within easy reach during your first day in the world
From the bosom of the world tree you are greeted with lush forests, rolling hills, beautiful lakes, and tall peaks of snow (snow not included, well.. maybe sometimes...)

Yes I would liek it as well but I doubt its possible to create something even similar without more of an input BUT I'm pretty sure he's giving his world out soon, so you can probs get the Terrain file from it
before you all flame me... Ive had a look at the 'wiki' of all the input's, but Ive still no idea how to make a simple map with many small islands...?
Any ideas?
If you want me to go away i will :c
Check the default ini file and check the custom ini files people post, observe the differences and the values they've edited, I'm too lazy to figure it out myself, but I'm sure you could figure it out by comparing.
A new and improved version of the Big Sky Country settings from the last thread. Huge mountains and tall monuments interspersed with magnificent rolling hills and plains. The mountains are taller and more dramatic than in vanilla Minecraft, and there are fairly numerous cliffs and occasional floating islands, but there are enough open plains and gentle slopes to make the map navigable. The landscape varies a LOT.
Biomes are bigger than usual (still can reach the edge of one in a long day's steady hiking though) and trees are scarcer (I find dense forests annoying). Mining's not my favorite, so I made the tradeoff of lowering sea level to make room for massive mountains, and reducing cave frequency so the pretty mountainsides aren't marred so often. Although many of the tallest mountains reach the clouds, a little fiddling with maxheight and maxdepth seems to be mostly preventing them from reaching maximum height.
All three images below are from different places in the same map.

What texture pack is this? It really seems to just "go" with these settings.
