Circular Solar Array (kit):
For those who play using Millenaire and Industrial Craft. Produces a circular building with space for plenty of solar panels, with placeholders for necessary devices. You will need to manually place the appropriate Industrial Craft objects.
Replace the wool with cables, and place switch cables in the center of the "+"es. Replace the exterior planks with solar panels, and place solar panels on top of the exposed cables on the roof. Replace the interior planks with MFEs, MFSes, or switch cables as desired.
Produces 13 power from each flower, 39 from each side, 156 total. There is built-in space for 4 emergency generators per side, 16 total, expandable to 6 per side, or 24 total. Emergency generators fit into the slots next to the upper MFEs.
You can dig a basement and place your machines there, or run an HV line from this building to your workplace. Or simply place a few machines on the exposed floor cabling when getting started.
The building does NOT need to be completely filled in with panels and MFEs before it becomes functional. You can do useful work with as little as one MFE, a single solar panel, and a handful of cables.
The building, as built by the NPCs:
One side filled with solar panels, using switch cables to connect to a single MFE:
That same side, with 3 MFEs and a MFS:
An array with a full set of solar panels:
Tips:
Something not working? Make sure you replaced ALL the wool blocks with cables. There are wool blocks beneath the MFE placeholder blocks too.
There are four exits to the building, for construction purposes. You may wish to seal up some of these after construction is complete. Place doors in the rest to keep monsters and animals out.

Whaaaat!! A solar array for us that are using Industrial Craft. You are the best. OK, I put the text in the custom folder now how do I get them to start building it? Will the signs show a change in materials required?
Couple of questions:
I read that you can have the villagers allocate a piece of land by just having them build a 20x20 platform that you can use to build a house on. How do you do that?
Also, the windmill burnt up in a fire and all that's left is the stone, glass, and chest. How do I get them to repair it?
Can someone help me out here:
How do you add someone else's buildings? I read the OP over and over but some things are not clear to a layman, such as:
" For any new building (as opposed to an upgrade to an existing one) there should also be a line to be put in custom.txt inside buildingplans/custom, provided by the poster."
What's a line and where exactly do I put it? Do I copy and paste what's in the extra.txt into the custom.txt document? Is there a youtube tutorial for doing this? Thanks in advance.

How to install:
Extract the "buildingname_#.txt" files to: %appdata%\.minecraft\millenaire\buildingplans\custom\
Edit %appdata%\.minecraft\millenaire\buildingplans\custom\custom.txt with a text editor.
Add a line for each custom building formatted thus:
buildingname (no _#);quantity;priority;metadata (0 for custom buildings);French/Norman Name;English Name
so for files named buildingname_#.txt:
buildingname;1;1;0;Le Building;Building
Your finished custom.txt:
//name;max number;priority weight;block meta (0 for extras);French/Norman name;English name
prison;2;70;0;Prison;
Thank you so, so much! I followed the instructions , went in to the game and there it was on the announcement board: Prison
You are very helpful. Have a great day!
Question:
Quantity 2 Does that mean they will build 2 of the prison structures?
aah thats awesome :biggrin.gif: when ive tested my buildings, expect some awesome downloads like a prison and more :biggrin.gif:
Okay they finally made it! :biggrin.gif: I forgot 1 " ; " in the text file ( between the french name and the english name (I had no french one)). Here is my first building.. Im pretty proud of it myself :smile.gif:
It's supposed to be a prison.
The outside (rear)
the inside (1 cell )
the inside ( "hallway")
Updates are cobblestone and the final version is smoothstone + some more torches on the roof
WOW!! This mod is incredible. I have watched the villagers build some of my custom structures I DL'd and it is a pleasure to watch. They have completed the Prison, Market, 20x20 personal space. I even changed the text for when they are speaking....amazing! Excellent job!

Does it work with 0.3?[/quote]
I'm about to try something... The core file names have changed to allow different types of the same build to be built (ie. farm_A0 and farm_B0). I'm going to try changing the file names of the two lamps posted on this thread, see if i can get them to build each
err.. scratch that.. it seems the extra.txt has gone missing. Not sure how to apply buildings anymore... /facepalm
Have you read the updated guide? Otherwise just have a look at existing core buildings.

Do I put the bakery upgrade .txt into the core folder?
Look at the new core files. The old set up for custom builds wont work unless you convert them. You can ether wait for the original posts to re-upload or learn to do it yourself. Up to you.

How do I get the villagers to rebuild a bakery (windmill) that burned in a lava chain fire that went from tree to tree till it reached the bakery?
And does anyone have a building plan for a mob trap that I can have the villagers make?
Thank you in advance.
