Hey, all of you (king, Kodaichi, and Shoickah) make two versions. One where the tree leaves in the Aether are the second time, more green, then now. I likes the look of the old one, and then the new one kinda looks dead still, to me atleast.
The point of that being..? That would just be more work= Delaying The Aether even more.

Why would they make another mod, just for you, because you don't like the color of the leaves?

I hope there's gonna be quicksoul with full functionality, including as a booster under minecart tracks. This would also mean that Slow Sand should work as a brake.
That was the original intention as I had conceived of the idea. It was also my intention that if your speed got boosted too high, you would go straight off the tracks instead of following turns, which would require you to put in soul sand brake sections before turns if your speed was going to be boosted too high by that point.
Also, to all those people saying that the Nether is not below the earth and the Aether is not above the earth:
It doesn't matter.
Really. It doesn't. Personally, I like to think of the Nether as below the Minecraft earth, because it gives the game a feeling of continuity and connectivity. But really, wherever the Nether is, it shouldn't get in anybody's way of his/her enjoyment of the game.
And one final point, this mod assumes that Nether is in fact underneath the normal world, so all arguments are moot anyway.

Looks cool, but... What happened to white clouds disappearing? That was my favorite part of the whole cloud thing.
If you don't like that idea for every white cloud, what about a more common, wispier kind of cloud that spawns around islands?
Also, Kingbdogz, how are my suggestions? I saw that Shockah had put several ideas in the "denied" section of the requests that were similar to mine... does that mean they will never be implemented? How does Kodaichi feel about them?
Sorry for the flood of questions, I just really hope I didn't spend all that time making those suggestions for every single one to turn to dust.
How awsome! Well, I am going to change the tools texture, and also the golden egg, so it actually looks golden, but I like this! Its awsome, its fantastic, truly awtastic!! Although I really don't know what to say about the, golden eggs catch moas, idea...?
Oh, hey, wait a sec! Is that the Aetherite idea up there!!? I am offended! Just one simple little pic is better than all of my well-thought ideas!! Im insulted! Hehe, lol no. I do like the ideas you've added. lol
Please stop quoting his whole post, you've done it like 4 times that I've noticed and it's unnecessary. Thanks :smile.gif:
I can now see kids playing pokemon using golden eggs. And all those other blocks and items? :Pig:'s for you all. That is AWESOME. I may have to break my vanilla streak. Oooh, this will be worth breaking vanilla.
I really hope that the Cold and Blue Cloud blocks will retain the "turns insubstantial when hit, or a couple of seconds after being stood on" that had been proposed in the original Aether Suggestion for cold cloud. Gold Boots could easily be used as a method for allowing them to be walked on without danger, but the danger of falling through them was one of the important points to their inclusion.
I'm really not fond of the Ores that are being proposed at all, especially since some of them don't even have a proper purpose yet. If that type of idea was proposed in the suggestion forums on its own, it would FLOP, I've seen multiple examples where it has done so. This was the exact same problem the Nether Update suggestion had and why Sabata and I made the New Nether suggestion thread. Before you're going to propose something, make sure it has a purpose, and not one that is going to break existing parts of the game.
The Gold Clouds I'm iffy about. I'd rather see this as a function of the Galestone/Flowvein for lifting the player up through wind. For one thing, 2 different type of cloud blocks is already getting to be too much. I really dislike the whole "reskin" thing for these blocks. We can be more original, dangit! The other issue I have is that Gold Clouds are actually really limited in use compared to what even Galestone on its own could be put towards in both building and crafting, and yet because their only use would be completely taken over by Galestone, having them added to the Aether is like putting the nails in the coffin for Galestone and Flowvein to be included. I'd rather see a nerfed version of Galestone that only blows wind up, with the idea that it could later be improved to it's full feature set, that to have Gold Cloud implemented.
I'm both hopeful and apprehensive about what the Ambrosium shard will bring to the table, and because of that I don't have any real objections to the Holystone tools, since they're more specialized than powerful. It would be interesting to allow Holystone Tools to be used in the Nether (without any bonuses, but also without any penalties) to make it easier to gather Blood Gems, provided the Holystone Tool was the only way in which the Mob was injured.
I know that a ton of people are going to go "POKEMON RIPOFF!" for catching Moas in the Egg, but I think it's a really sensible method for doing the Taming process and allowing you to keep your tamed Moa with you. I'm a little concerned at how this might work with something like Midas Tears, since theoretically it should turn regular eggs into Golden Eggs. Perhaps instead of Golden Eggs being made into food, you let Golden Eggs be smelted into gold ingots if the player wont be using them to capture Moas, and regular eggs can get the scrambled egg functionality.
I just register only to tell you that this mod is gonna so awesome and that i can't wait to see it and to build awesome stuff in it (btw if you need someone neutral to test your world, I'll be the man!! )
Functionality: If you are holding a Golden Egg and you right click it onto a Moa (tamed or untamed), you will capture it inside your egg. To release it, you just right-click once more.
Located: Golden Eggs are not crafted. Instead, on rare occasions you can find a Moa bird laying one on the ground.
Uses: Golden Eggs can be used to created Scrambled Eggs, which heal a fair amount of Hearts. They can also be used transport Moas from one point to another (by capturing it into your egg). Cannot be used on the Surface.
I love how this is turning out. I only have one question: will Nether portals be able to be made in the aether and vice versa? And will moas be able to go through Nether portals? Because if both of these are true, something quite interesting and even problematic could arise. Imagine riding an angelic moa through the molten depths of the nether! That would raise a few eyebrows!

Why do we have a Suggestions section if everyone shoots everyone else down? I suggest renaming it the Flame War section. Pun intended.
