I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to manipulate world seeds so that you can generate a certain type of area by changing around the numbers of the seed code?
For example, if you wanted a wide expanse of purely flat grassland, you could find a specific seed to generate that type of map?
Cause I'm looking for a seed that generates a LARGE scale ocean with little to no land surrounding it.
There is no way to manipulate the world generator to your needs. Everything is fairly random, and it doesn't recognize words. Check out the "Beta - Survival" > "Seeds" forum.
WAY off if you put in a specific seed then you will get the same world as somebody who use an identical seed just with a different spawn point
Type Glacier and see what happens (A bunch of floating islands)

Expect the unexpected to happen unexpectedly while you least expect it.
If you type "glacier" (without the quotes) as a seed, you will get a pretty epic mountain range, and if u use the same seed for multiple worlds, they will come out exactly the same :biggrin.gif:..... well at least it worked for me

Quite really?
Actually, I think a bit of the code for seeds includes a few "secret seeds" that use words. 404 is actually a real seed, though, as it has no words and the seed shows up 404 using a seed viewer.

not quite sure but i did find lots of diamond in 404. I dug in gravel and i fell into the largest cave system ever. Lots of diamond for me.
Also, I found this epic seed called firedragon. I dont know if its already been found but its EPIC! I found tons of floating islands and overhangs in this awesome valley. You should try it. Although it might be hard to find. If you do happen to find it, it has so many floating islands that it looks like you need a dragon to get to all of them... :smile.gif:
just sayin'

Well...
This has a large ocean but has some land.
It's an awesome map that's pretty neat.

do you really think anyone is stupid enough to fall for that?
No, I'm not some n00b that makes there username have to do with the game they're playing. There were no Endermen in Alpha. N00bs.
