The Original Tower-Based Dungeon Adventure Mod! Battle Towers V3 for BETA 1.1_02 by KodaichiZero
Battle towers are back and better than ever! This time, golems can be spawned from a regular mob spawner, no block ID is used anymore (this means it is compatible with everything!) and Golems DON'T DESPAWN ANYMORE!!! So now you can still go back and fight it if you die!
Easy Towers
Appearance: Pure Cobblestone
Mobs: Only Zombies and Skeletons
Treasure: 3 random item stacks per chest
Boss: 150 HP, drops 1-2 diamonds on death
Medium Towers
Appearance: Cobblestone with some Mossy Cobblestone
Mobs: No Creepers
Treasure: 5 random item stacks per chest
Boss: 300 HP, drops 3-4 diamonds on death
Hard Towers
Appearance: Pure Mossy Cobblestone
Mobs: All four mobs, including Creepers
Treasure: 7 random item stacks per chest
Boss: 450 HP, drops 5-6 diamonds on death
Every floor has a nice big chest, two random mob spawners, and a staircase to the next floor.
The treasure gets better and better with each floor, but the floor itself gets more and more broken. Harder towers have more broken floors and more treasure per chest.
The top of the tower is guarded by a formidable boss mob, the Golem.
He is completely still until you approach him but also:
- A lot of HP (varies)
- Immune to Fire and Lava
- Very Slow, but gets progressively faster as he takes damage
- Very Strong, 4 hearts base damage
- Very Scary!
- Drops a varying amount of diamonds upon death (and a ton of half-steps)
- Has a huge and powerful stomp attack that activates if you try to run away.

This mod creates pregenerated Tower Dungeons on your map. The spawning probability has been changed, so you can now find one every 300 chunks that are generated. If you want to find another tower quickly, just save and load the game after you find your first one. They won't appear anywhere except on a flat, open area, so look for a desert, a tundra, a swamp or any generally flat area. Always be prepared before you go inside.

Compatibility Info:
This mod requires Risugami's Mod Loader 1.2.6 and Risugami's Audio Loader 1.2.6. You MUST install them first before this mod will work. Also, not all files go into the jar. some files must be added to the "resources" folder in your .minecraft directory. See the instructions included for more details. Remember that the mod no longer uses px.class so you need a clean one. because of this, this mod is compatible with more mods now, which should include the Biome Terrain Mod, Corosus' Pets Mod, the Mo' Creatures Mod, and a slew of others. Special thanks to Corosus for the additional code, Risugami and 303 for their help, and everyone else on the modder's IRC channel for being so great.
Make sure you've done everything right, read the whole thread, and checked again before you ask questions.
Common Problems:
- If you have a MAC, read down a bit.
- If you get a black screen when trying to use this mod, make sure you're installed the Mod Loader and the Audio Loader properly.
- If you can't even get those two things to work, make sure you deleted the META-INF folder in the jar. If that doesn't work, read Risugami's instructions again. I hate to say it but most issues in mod installation come from people not correctly following directions.
- If you can't find towers once you've installed this, don't worry, they are supposed to be rare-ish. Keep wandering open plains areas with nice flat ground, or alternatively, keep generating new worlds until you can see a tall thin structure start to form on the horizon. Or very close by.- It should take no more than half a day to find a tower if you are exploring the right kind of new regions.
ANY OTHER PROBLEMS: go here -
Also, things you might be able to find in the treasure chests:
- A full set of chainmail
- Iron tools (or a diamond hoe!)
- Everything you need to make a portal
- Everything you need to make a roller coaster
- Everything you need to kill yourself violently
- Healing items, weapons, ladders, and more!
- Useless crap like cloth and book cases
Very cool... but is it possible for you to add anchient tombs, castles, or other things, and mabye add new items to get like the saddel which i s only found in dungeons.
i haz no recourses folder :sad.gif:
but looks awesome!
uhh you should. look in your .minecraft folder, the same place you find a bin folder, there is also a resources folder. copy and paste the "mod" folder from the zip in there. But you only need that part to hear the Boss' voice sounds.
Very cool... but is it possible for you to add ancient tombs, castles, or other things, and maybe add new items to get like the saddle which is only found in dungeons.
Well i wanted to make it different from the dungeons that already exist. You can find a lot of junk there that you cant find in regular dungeons like lightstone, book cases, chainmail, obsidian etc. Wasn't interested in adding saddles, actually but there's probably a mod out there that lets you craft them out of leather.
Nice job kinda only one flaw well maybe two seems i hit oss with arrow from abit away and he does a glitch sprint kinda thing ends when you get near him. Also the boss hp u have to figure damage weapons do i honestly dont mind to much but is kinda bleh havein to go toe to toe with a giant with diamond tools and 200 arrows and almost die lol awsome mob addition though i like alot. Ty very much.
yeah...on my mac [sad face] my "minecraft jar" is a .jar file. How do I put the "jar stuff" in the file? also, where do I put the audio mod and the mod loader?
so how do i know if it worked? and were do i find the tower?
Yeah this is the main problem with randomness, some people find towers, others don't. It's a complicated issue since worlds are so varied in their terrain.

do they spawn in pre-created worlds? HOLY **** THIS IS COOL ANYWAY. +42 :Diamond:'s to you.
Yes just explore new regions. But your existing save files will get messed up if an update comes around since it uses a custom block (golem spawner)

Yeah the glitchy bit is his jumping move, he will jump upwards 25% of the time you hit him, and he can do a midair jump like this too. ALSO if you want to see his super special move, walk away from him for a while and stay a reasonable distance. HUGE explosive stomp. He can even do a tiny amount of damage to guys on a lower floor. This is most easily exploited by making a waterfall escape path beforehand.

Thanks a million to anyone who can answer this.
You'll want to install a program like 7Zip, then right-click on minecraft.jar and open it up. Then you just drag all the files into the jar. But do it in this order: Mod Loader -> Audio Loader -> Battle Tower Mod
Just a little idea] you seem good at makein this sort of mod so would be kewl to see a cave type mod. Very rare mind you with a dragon dungeon . Would be hard as heck hahah but would be fun i think. [ i would gladly spend 200 days testin it if i had to ] lol

Installing now and "Pruning" my old world to get them to spawn. This oughta be EPIC. Only suggestion is having some Mossy Cobble generate with the regular Cobble for the walls. You know, to give it that ancient look. Otherwise it's an epic idea, let's see how it plays though. :happy.gif: Great job.
Edit: *installs Mod* Okay, let's check this out. *generates world and inv-edits in iron equipment* Lesse if I can find a t-HOLY **** THERE'S ONE INFRONT OF ME! Ahem.... *goes in and fights through swarms of monsters* *reaches top floor* Okay, let's check out this new.... *gets punched off the tower and falls to death* ....mob. *respawns and sees another tower in the distance* ._.
Haha, love this mod already :happy.gif: The golum is worthy of being called a boss. Found two towers really close to each-other, though, which felt a little odd. Other then that though, it's great!
That zombie was a complete JERK. I had just killed the golem (Yay!) and im going down the stairs. A zombie spawns,Scares me so i jump on the ledge of a window and the zombie comes and pushes me off the tower.

Rarity Patch - makes towers roughly four times as rare for people who think they're too common.

Yep you'll find all those in there. And a very fearsome final foe...
...It's not a cow, but it's almost as scary.
