Ok, so I installed the patch and made two plains that are EASILY big enough for a tower, yet the towers aren;t spawning? What am i doing wrong? I followed the instructions of installation to the letter. Btw, i am running Windows 7.
EDIT: I have only one world, I had started on it before installing the mod and the towers aren;t loading on this already started world 1. Would that make a difference? Do they spawn only on new worlds?
First of all, Towers only generate in NEWLY generated chunks. That means if you want to find a tower, you either have to explore parts of your world you haven't been to yet, or you need to start a new one.
Secondly, the rarity patch is to make them even more rare (about 4 times as much according to OP). So installing the patch will make them even harder to find.

Oh come on guys, looting the tower on peacefull ruins the spirit of the tower. Think of some stratagies then just changing it to peacefull.
Example 1: clear the first floor by digging under the tower and pop up where the spawnners are. Destroy the first floor spawnners and climb each floor by making 1x1 towers to under the spawners. Only need to worry about skeleton archers this way.
Example 2: Make a TnT cannon and launch it at the tower.
Example 3: Rush the tower to the top floor. Kill the golem. THen (with tnt inyour inventory) poke holes in the floor. With the correct positioning, you can drop tnt down onto each of the spawners.
My favorite so far has been number 2.
Anyways, that Two towers combined is AWESOME! Keep that tower and make it into like a base or something.
Edit: Download death Chest if you are scared of losing your items. It is a big saver for hard towers.
I love the towers but unfortunately Ive had to uninstall.
I installed Battle Towers on a pre existing world, traveled until i found a tower, loved it, traveled just a little bit more found a second tower in sight of the first and suddenly suffered catastrophic lag, crash, and chunk errors.
Fortunately I backed up my save before I went exploring. Thought the problem might be a fluke so I loaded up my backup save and traveled to the same spot on the map where the towers where. As soon as I see the towers the same thing happened, lag, crash, chunk errors. (I thought the world was generated randomly but when I returned to the same spot everything was the same). I suspected the problem was BT so I uninstalled it, loaded my backup save again returned to the spot where the towers used to be, no lag, no chunk errors, everything was fine.
I hate to uninstall BT but my Minecraft just doesn't like it :sad.gif:
Edit: I got it to work. The problem was caused by another mod.

Most likely an error with the golem spawnning then. Dunno, can you post a crash report?
Anyways on the map generator part, Maps are generated from seeds. The seed is generated when you first enter a world. So that is why the map generated the same way. That and there is more then that for map generation.
These towers are genuinely challenging and awesome. They add a lot to a map and personally I think something like them should be in the default game. Will it still work if I update to the latest version of the client?
I got BT to work. The problem was with another mod (Zan's Compass Mod) the reason I blamed BT was because BT was the last mod I installed, and because the compass mod only gave me problems on newly spawned ckunks.
I installed the compass mod, tested it, it seemed to work fine, but I didn't go exploring. Whereas when I installed BT the first thing I did was run off to find a tower.
My advice to anyone that installs any new mod is to test the hell out of it.
Test it on old worlds. Test it on new worlds.
Test it until you cant test it any more. And then test it some more.

The Original Tower-Based Dungeon Adventure Mod! Battle Towers V3 for BETA 1.1_02 by KodaichiZero
Battle towers are back and better than ever! This time, golems can be spawned from a regular mob spawner, no block ID is used anymore (this means it is compatible with everything!) and Golems DON'T DESPAWN ANYMORE!!! So now you can still go back and fight it if you die!
Easy Towers
Appearance: Pure Cobblestone
Mobs: Only Zombies and Skeletons
Treasure: 3 random item stacks per chest
Boss: 150 HP, drops 1-2 diamonds on death
Medium Towers
Appearance: Cobblestone with some Mossy Cobblestone
Mobs: No Creepers
Treasure: 5 random item stacks per chest
Boss: 300 HP, drops 3-4 diamonds on death
Hard Towers
Appearance: Pure Mossy Cobblestone
Mobs: All four mobs, including Creepers
Treasure: 7 random item stacks per chest
Boss: 450 HP, drops 5-6 diamonds on death
Every floor has a nice big chest, two random mob spawners, and a staircase to the next floor.
The treasure gets better and better with each floor, but the floor itself gets more and more broken. Harder towers have more broken floors and more treasure per chest.
The top of the tower is guarded by a formidable boss mob, the Golem.
He is completely still until you approach him but also:
- A lot of HP (varies)
- Immune to Fire and Lava
- Very Slow, but gets progressively faster as he takes damage
- Very Strong, 4 hearts base damage
- Very Scary!
- Drops a varying amount of diamonds upon death (and a ton of half-steps)
- Has a huge and powerful stomp attack that activates if you try to run away.

This mod creates pregenerated Tower Dungeons on your map. The spawning probability has been changed, so you can now find one every 300 chunks that are generated. If you want to find another tower quickly, just save and load the game after you find your first one. They won't appear anywhere except on a flat, open area, so look for a desert, a tundra, a swamp or any generally flat area. Always be prepared before you go inside.

Compatibility Info:
This mod requires Risugami's Mod Loader 1.2.6 and Risugami's Audio Loader 1.2.6. You MUST install them first before this mod will work. Also, not all files go into the jar. some files must be added to the "resources" folder in your .minecraft directory. See the instructions included for more details. Remember that the mod no longer uses px.class so you need a clean one. because of this, this mod is compatible with more mods now, which should include the Biome Terrain Mod, Corosus' Pets Mod, the Mo' Creatures Mod, and a slew of others. Special thanks to Corosus for the additional code, Risugami and 303 for their help, and everyone else on the modder's IRC channel for being so great.
Make sure you've done everything right, read the whole thread, and checked again before you ask questions.
Common Problems:
- If you have a MAC, read down a bit.
- If you get a black screen when trying to use this mod, make sure you're installed the Mod Loader and the Audio Loader properly.
- If you can't even get those two things to work, make sure you deleted the META-INF folder in the jar. If that doesn't work, read Risugami's instructions again. I hate to say it but most issues in mod installation come from people not correctly following directions.
- If you can't find towers once you've installed this, don't worry, they are supposed to be rare-ish. Keep wandering open plains areas with nice flat ground, or alternatively, keep generating new worlds until you can see a tall thin structure start to form on the horizon. Or very close by.- It should take no more than half a day to find a tower if you are exploring the right kind of new regions.
ANY OTHER PROBLEMS: go here -
Also, things you might be able to find in the treasure chests:
- A full set of chainmail
- Iron tools (or a diamond hoe!)
- Everything you need to make a portal
- Everything you need to make a roller coaster
- Everything you need to kill yourself violently
- Healing items, weapons, ladders, and more!
- Useless crap like cloth and book cases
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% who'd be laughing, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
