As far as I know it only works with .zip archives and you have to put them in the texturepack folder which is located in your .minecraft folder, as for TPs that work with it I only know of one so far, Mixcraft HD all others I've tried just crash the game
Ok...some others do work all you have to do is make sure they have all the proper files and folders organized in the .rar that they're in and then change the format to .zip. Just did this with Doku's and it worked perfectly :smile.gif:

You're welcome :smile.gif: glad I could help. Love how this feature makes it all automatic you don't have to extract a thing in most cases and if you don't like what you get all you have to do is select the original set.
Update: you may want to back up your .minecraft folder first, I just had a major crash when I tried to activate Misa's pack and had to delete everything and re-install. back up makes this process easier since you don't have to re-dowload anything you just copy all files back to your .minecraft folder after the crash.

Follow the instructions and everything will work fine, you should also use this program if there seem to be some animations or textures missing. I used it after applying the Gerudoku pack and everything was fixed I had animated fire, water, etc. hope this helps everyone out there.
I have found out how to do it.
You just need pack png/txt
And one you put the files in a zip it creates a folder within the zip so you need to move the files in the folder in the zip to where the folder is(eg you have folder with terrain png in it and you send it to a zip folder
It just makes a zip folder and puts the original folder in it)
This took a while to type because I did this on my iPod
-what file should i make the pack?
-what should be in the pack?
-"open folder" button?
underwater pig pyramid for the person to help out, thanks.

Disregard my first update, to fix your game after a crash when you select a texture this way, get the patch program here:
