Hey, I'm not trying to chew you guys out, but can we please stop quoting pictures?
get rid of the tags and replace them with (img) or something, so we pages will load faster? Quoting pictures takes a lot of stuff up on the page and increases the load time a lot.
And no, I haven't posted any settings. I haven't learned the mod enough to do anything.

Will that savegame work in an unmodded Minecraft? Or do you need to have the BiomeTerrain mod running for the saved game to generate the same world shown in the pictures?
Name: Death valley Author: Alserweiss Description: Huge desert, with just a few trees (from two to five minutes to walk between two trees). Presents one challenge : can you survive with so little trees ?
Can't you just beat seeds out of the tree leaves with your fists, uncover some dirt, and plant the seeds? Unless you're really unlucky, you can usually get at least 2 or 3 tree seeds out of each tree, so after a few cycles you should have plenty of wood.
Anyone have good settings for a giant ocean with islands that are about one biome big and where when your on one island you cant see any othere islands? Id love to have a windwaker like feel.

I don't think my 2400x1800 panorama pictures would look all the great when they're chopped off to fit in a 665px wide content frame. Nor would I want to be scrolling down through 4-5 full size pictures. People who quote a world and the whole nine yards (pics and settings) just to say "omg that world is so uberly epicly cool" I find annoying. Learn to snip the quote, select and delete works amazingly well.

In theory it should. The mod just tweaks how the world is generated, it is not adding new blocks or anything. Once you reach the end of where the world that was created with the mod, any new chunks will be generated with the default generator. Now if you were to generate a brand spankin new world and wanted it to look the ones pictured, you would need to use the mod.
Name: High Lands Author: animusConstruct Description: Just messing around with settings which lead to massive landforms that peak above the cloud level with equally massive valleys and pits. Natural caves and overhangs are also fairly common. Screen Shot:[snipped]
I really like the landscape that this creates, but what do I have to change to get trees to spawn on the landscape? I've flown around the area extensively looking at all the great caves, overhangs and peaks but there are absolutely Zero trees anywhere to actually play on this landscape.
I'm working on some setting that will produce a landscape that includes medium sized islands (not too many) that are spaced maybe a minute's walk apart (if there wasn't any water) with lots of lavafalls on the islands and thick forests on top. I tried using "replacestationarywater:stationarylava" to make oceans of lava, but it's not working.
If anyone has any tips to help me create such a landscape, let me know!

Wait... what?
I'm talking about people who quote other people's pictures. Quoting other people's images is completely unnecessary.
It only takes up more space on the page and makes the page load slower.
EDIT:
Are said Panorama pictures with an AMD Eyefinity setup?

Name: forbidden lands Author: Spyrewolf Description: setting is VERY similar to that of the forbidden land in Shadow of the Colossus tall cliffs and canyons it also creates massive plains like Shadow of the Colossus...can't wait for the mo creatures horse to ride around on in this.
..oh also you may also wanna lower the rose frequency i use it for long grass.....
It seems to make a ton of sand for some reason, I hope that's ok.
To fix the sand I used the replaceSand:Grass.
The one you posted in great except there are no trees.

i really like this one...
is there some way you could change this so that rivers and lakes are deeper? Also, My rivers and lakes are completely surrounded by sand O.o
I don't understand this mod enough to do it myself. Any help is appreciated, though.

You may with to try raising the water level by a few levels. I don't know how to change sand around water.
