Was just thinking of something, what if minecraft had gore? its probably not something some people would like and i understand that. But i'd kinda like to see blood splatters while slaying a chicken for laying eggs in my mansion...
O.K. Just puttin that out there, I cant make this because i dont have any experience modding.
Indie games are independently developed games. Has nothing to do with what the game contains.
Notch would not approve of this at all because he doesn't want gore or blood to be in his game. Which is why Hell is the Nether, the mossy cobble that's red (as if it's blood) is actually red moss, and why zombie pigmen don't have blood all over them like they used to.
Sadly, Notch has no say in what we add to the game.
He may "frown" at modding, but hey? who gives a ****.
Some kiddies like blood and gore.
A mod to add blood splatters on the ground? I dont think it's possible, unless you change the texture pack, but then it would be all the blocks.
But like Gkang said, you can change that particle effect of On death.
But im also sure that doing that changes the particle effect for TNT explosions.
One could mod that wen you hit a enemie, it will create a few blood particles, also change the texture of the explosion on dead (like mentioned).
That mod that let you change the color of the blocks showed us that is possible to change a single block color, so the blocks around the killed enemie could turn red.
And of course change the texture to something more dark and gore.
