I'd like to see if its possible for someone to make a recipe for glass stairs, or something similar, please. I think that it would be a great addition to some structures of mine but I don't exactly know how to do anything about it.
Actually, now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind having almost any block able to be made into stairs. Again, if its possible, could someone please do it? :smile.gif:
I find it strange no one has tried to fix the half step, where you try to place something on top of it, instead of it floating in the air above the step, you get the item to sit on the block.
This is because technically, the half step can only co-exist in the same block as another half step. Consider the half-step taking up the entire block, whether its one or two half-steps. Can't have blocks being all half-off from other blocks, this would basically negate halfs completely. Might as well make all the other blocks 2x2.

Passive minecrafter FTW.

Agree. More stair options would be nice. Steel, Gold, and Diamond blocks are basically much useless, though it would be stupid to require blocks to make stairs for those rather then bars/gems.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
Already tried three different methods to do glass (first is hardest) stairs but two of them make minecraft go black and the third doesn't want to compile (it should thuogh!). I will inform you if I finnaly make them but I won't make any promises
I agree, glass stairs and glass half-steps would be great. There are so many things I have made with glass that look kinda silly with other colored half steps.
+ = Awesome step

The easiest way to do this would be to go into the terrain.png and edit the stone/wood blocks to look like glass. The current stair blocks use the same textures, so I'm pretty sure that would work - though I don't know if those blocks support transparency.
Edit: Works as intended. I recommend replacing only wood or cobble, as it gets confusing what is what, but deleting the wood/cobble texture and replacing it with (transparency and) the glass texture makes it so you can make transparent stairs.
You: I just put some stairs ther...
