I also haven't been able to make redstone work. I looked at it for a while today, but made no real headway. It's not that redstone doesn't work, it's that only certain aspects don't work. I can get doors to open directly from buttons, with redstone, and I can turn torches on and off, using buttons and pressure plates.
But, redstone torches don't seem to power anything, and pressure plates need to be up one level to work, which is very strange. I suspect it's the recompile/recompile cycle, more than any change that vie made, but it's hard digging through the mechanics.
The funny thing is, as much as I love redstone, I love the epic terrain more. So if I have to choose, I choose the terrain. Fortunately I don't have to choose, I just have to be frustrated until I can have redstone back, whether it is by you, me or hopefully notch including the mod as an official part of the game.
It is a great way to have a unique experience without in any way changing the nature of the game. Even the ore veins you incorporated only make it feel even more like a mining and exploration game, perhaps it makes it more challenging for a beginner. But larger biomes and ore veins, IMHO make for a more challenging game that holds my interest longer, now that I am more experienced.

I've noticed this is somehow incompatible with Skymod, as having them both at once makes minecraft crash when I click the SkyMod button. I'm not sure why this is, as none of the .class files conflict.
Hmm...
My guess, (which is most likely wrong) is that SkyMod may be incompatible with TTSP because TTSP modifies water levels.
In case you haven't noticed, SkyMod doesn't have any oceans, and scripts may have been editted to make this true.
this wintry region goes on for acres and acres with a mix between flat, snowy tundra, frozen seas and hilly pine forests. it's damn beautiful. it's how biomes should look.
I find a biomeSize of 3.0 is a good balance for large environments that aren't inescapable.. seems to make them about the size of your average WoW zone
haven't run across any muddy swamps yet, but I'll keep looking. deserts are breathtaking, especially with the "dry" setting. I love the variety. can't wait to see what more you do with this!
Could I snag that pumpkin image from you.
OT: This is amazing, I'm going to install this the next time I'm on Minecraft (which wont be for a while because of this little thing called COD)
Oh, this is absolutely wonderful~ I actually passed this mod up during its first release because it conflicted with Cadde's Oreveins, pretty much one of my favourites, my worlds don't feel right without it. It's unfortunate she gave it up - but the way this game is updated is so sloppy, I can understand it, every patch makes modding feel like an effort in futility. Still, cheers on picking up oreveins, most certainly using this now.
One issue, though, is I'm having the world-generation issue as well, where the screen holds up before giving me an error. It's worth noting that I'm currently using the Halloween patch version .jar as to not lose support for some older mods, but it's looking like it's affecting post-patchers as well, so I'll leave that to someone to interpret..

This is a really noobish question, I'm sure, but in my minecraft.jar, the only thing in the META-INF folder is MANIFEST.MF. What should I do to get this thing working?

I swear by my life, and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Could you potentially make this a standalone map generator so that every new update does not break it and so that you could spend more time on features or real life?
Firstly, this is an awesome mod (my favorite so far). However, I can also confirm that this seems to break redstone functionality along with "powered objects" functionality in general. Redstone doesn't get switched on by normal power sources (switches, levers, etc.) and the same power sources no longer have an impact on adjacent doors, minecart tracks, etc.
Would be great if an updated version could be released that fixes this issue since it's a rather severe one, but at least for now I have enormous new biomes to explore so I won't be messing with any redstone for a while :smile.gif:

Lol, the whole idea was to have a live in line generator. i am actually more interested in more serious map deformations, but for the time being, this is scratching my itch. I'll be integrating my subterranean features in very soon, so I won't have as much to maintain. :-)

Aaaaaaand, it's fixed. I mean, as far as I could tell.. I made a button/pressure plate RS NOR latch powered door work on my SP. It was a good enough test to make me happy. Hopfully it works for all of you guys now as well.
The file will be auto created when you run Minecraft (though, I don't remember if you have to generate a new world or not). However, you can, of course, create one manually. The name, in full, would be "mapgen.properties" No .txt or anything else. "mapgen.properties" and that's the full name. Personally, I just let the game make one for me, and then I edited as I wanted to. Hope that helps. Mouser X over and out.
This doesn't seem to work at all, I deleted the ENTIRE Meta-Inf folder, copied everything from the downloaded .jar to minecraft.jar, and it freezes on the loading screen.
Oo, I need to link this to my friend now, she's gonna be happy to hear it's been merged.
Thank you! :3

Either that, or it's some other simple thing,
or it's absolutely everything.

@The mod. THANK YOU FREAKING GOD! Now I can have all the cool features of both terrain tweaker and ore veins, WOOT!

What version of minecraft.jar are you using? And have you deleted everything from the meta-inf folfder inside that jar?
What's up?
