My old custom texture now looks stupid with the changed grass colors. What can I add to the files to make it so that the grass doesn't change from biome to biome?
grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png control the biome colors. The colors in those files are multiplied with the texture to produce the in game coloration. The location the color is picked form is based on the temperature and humidity of the biome. It gets more humid as you go up the Y and colder as you go up the X. (So rain forests are at the top left, deserts the bottom left, and tundra the bottom right.)
But that's probably more information than you really want or need. Just make the whole thing solid white and your base textures will no longer be affected by biome colorations.
