It seems even though there was a client update today it seems it did not break your mod but it did roll the version number on the screen back to 1.2.4 from the 1.2.5 it updated to. I am going to assume it is not rolling back the version but is there anyway the patcher could not roll this number back as it could be unsettling.
Thanks

Any more information on this would be great. Why is the version number rolling back and what are the implications?
It's just the number in the Minecraft menu that's rolled back with the mod, the client stays up to date.
This is because the mod modifies the menu text to show that the mod is activated but hasn't been changed to show the actual Minecraft version number.
Thank you for the clarification. Perhaps it would be better if the mod just added the extra on-screen text without changing the displayed version number.
Not sure how you would do this, but you think there would be a way to detect monsters? Maybe make the borders of the mini-map tint red? The immediate problems that pop into my head would be:
A) How to detect them?
:cool.gif: How to differentiate from the harmless animals
C) The area of detection? What use would it be to detect them from super far away?
Anyway, I think that would be really useful and sort of be the cherry on top of this incredible mod. :smile.gif:
Works just fine on Snow Leopard if you are using the correct version of the mod for the version of Minecraft you have, and most importantly, if you followed the instructions properly.
Okay. Last try, I guess. Somebody, please respond.
So, I'm attempting to use this mod on Windows Vista. I've tried self-installer and the Zip file with and without the .dll file it's missing. I run the patcher, and it says "done!". No errors, nothing. However, when I start Minecraft there's no map.No matter what I do, it seems wholly ineffective. No errors, no map. No errors, no map. Just nothing. If anyone has had this problem and solved it, please help.
There is one other idea I got from somebody in a SMP server: Manually patch the Mac version into Minecraft. It sounds okay to me, even though I may be trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. If this isn't a stupid idea, though, How would I go about doing this?

Notch-o cheese to debut in b1.6, along with Herobrine and dragons.
I have been using this mod for a few days now, but recently when I tired adding a waypoint while the game had low a low FPS rate (5-10) the mod was very slow and unresponsive but I pressed on and wait for it to respond to my key strokes and clicks. but when I closed the waypoint menu made my game glitch so every second (I'm guessing that's the refresh rate) the waypoint screen would flash up over my normal game screen even after I had closed the main Mod menu. this continued to happen even after I quit ( the same flashing thing happens in pause menus and the main menu.) its almost as if it took a screen cap and was flashing it on the screen every second. I thought i could just quit minecraft and launch it again but the problem persisted.
EDIT:
I am running the latest version of minecraft I think its 1.2.5?
Also the latest version of the Mod
Just got a chunk error in SSP, much akin to the ones i got in previous versions of this mod...
Hope that, if this mod has this issue again, it can be taken care of... Other than that, though, I really like this mod!
The interface could be a little bit cleaner but other then that its okay... I looked at this and i thought to myself that this would be absolutley amazing if you added a teleport feature. Havent tried downloading it yet either cause of that. But it would be really amazing if the tele feature was there.

1. Make a mod to where you can ride horses around, can only just up 1 block
2. Think of something usefull to the minecraft world, like have a bed and acctually working clocks that tell time of day
4. It would be really cool if the good mods got stickied
Yeah, I noticed this too. So weird and confusing. As you mention, Seven Dragons, I assume it's a proclivity of Notch's code, not of Zan's map. One thing I've been kind of confused about is the Y-coords in Zan's map. They seem to be kind of off compared to regular positioning. I should probably mess around in the game with it a bit more before making too much of a comment on it but I'm not sure its perfectly accurate. Also, I haven't yet updated to the newest Minecraft yet though so I haven't been able to check Zan's Y coordinates with the debugging ones so perhaps that too is some weird Notch code strangeness.
I finally got this to work with single player version 1.2.5 on Windows XP-64. I was getting a black screen until I finally went through this procedure.
1) Delete minecraft.jar, minecraft.original.jar, and version. All these files are in the .minecraft\bin directory
2) Start minecraft, login, and let it download all jar files again. Then exit minecraft
3) download and run mcpatcher-1.1.9_03.exe. I left all options as defaults, and just hit "patch".
4) Download Zan's v0.8.5, the .zip version. Extract it.
5) Download MSVCR71.dll to the data directory inside Zan's folder (not sure if this is really necessary)
6) run Install.bat from Zan's folder, choose the first option.
7) Start minecraft.
My other addons were gone (obviously), and all my key bindings were reset, but I have a minimap :biggrin.gif:
Looking forward to seeing an updated patcher for 1.2.5

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.
Looking forward to seeing an updated patcher for 1.2.5
And now for 1.2.6 as the Patcher breaks 1.2.6 to the "BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH MAUAHAHAHAHA" yeah it breaks it
Zans are you going to be updating soon? I know Notch is Release-O-Matic this week just wondering.
This is one of the only two mods I use, (The other being the Ambient Occlusion Mod)... So I shall wait patiently for you to update oh wonderous Zan! :biggrin.gif:

I'm getting a black screen after confirming my name and password also.
I tried the .exe, then reset, and tried the .zip with batch file.
I tried removing all texture packs.
I tried logging in with incorrect name/password, and then playing offline.
In all cases, I got a black screen. :sad.gif:
