so does this work for beta ? I herd lots of people saying it doesn't but also a lot of people say it does?
beta SERVER no, beta single-player yes - no. The version on the front page does not, but someone released a temporary patched version for single player. I think its on page 53-ish.
here it is (could't find the original post but copied the link from a repost.)
It might work if you extract the files to your server .jar but I haven't tried it (only SSP.) I can confirm that it works fine for SSP however. You can also try creating a large world in SSP then copying over the world to your server but keep in mind if you create any new terrain on the server-version of the world that terrain will be wrong.

This mod won't change world settings unless you create an entirely new world. You can't change settings in a previously existing world or after the settings have been applied to a world already.
false you can change your settings after worlds created. it creates a biomesettings ini in the world1, world2 folder etc. . . if you edit those settings you can edit the generation of new terrain on an already generated map. i had biome trees on so in my desert oasis trees only spawning as a bush shut trees off in biome settings now i have the normal minecraft trees. so once biomesettings created in world folder change away terrain changes wont show till you generate more terrain so someone else try it c if it works do something little like the biome trees and then shut it off plant new tree u should get the default minecraft trees, pretty sre this will work witth most of the settings.
This is really cool, but I was wondering what settings I could do to make pretty much everything underwater, so I have to build things on the water and whatnot. I tried raising the water height but theres always land jutting out, and it means I cant have too much room to build up. I understand that I have to spawn on dry land, but I dont want much of it. :S
I follow the instructions correctly: I put in all of the files from the Mod for this that I downloaded, I set the settings that I want in the BiomTerrainModSetting.ini file, then I delete Meta-Inf.
But when I try to play, I log in and I just get a black screen. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

I got this when i tryed starting a new world. Not sure whats wrong, I was able to use this mod just fine last night. I am going to run under the presumption that i set water level too high. So if that fixes it i will come back and edit this.

Alright, I'm a bit clueless. I downloaded litghosts version, plopped the files into minecrafts .jar, and then generate a new world. IT doesnt create a settings.ini or anything. Anyone got any clues as to why? Or am I installing this thing wrong? Help is much appreciated, as this looks to be an awesome mod.
I downloaded and installed that Beta Patch version, but it blackscreened.

Was the error I got when running Minecraft from the terminal.
For some reason the settings file is missing out of the beta patched version. Download the original and the beta patch and move the config files in with the beta version files. I'm new to Java but I don't know if a Java file can edit/create files within a .jar file.

Does anyone know whether BiomeTerrainMod conflicts? I'm currently using ModLoader, AudioMod, SDK's Guns, MoCreatures, DeathChest, MoreWorlds, MoreStackables.
If I remember the instructions recommend you install BTM on a fresh minecraft install and then add your other mods later. I installed it on top of better light and HD textures and had no problems.
