I've been playing around with the fracture settings, but i cant seem to get what I'm looking for :3
Is it at all possible to have small clusters of rock all seperated by air? same size and distribution as the vanilla iron ore deposits i think would be perfect
i.e. if I could turn everything to air, and then turn the iron ore deposits into dirt that would be exactly what I want (i've tried that though and it doesnt work. I think it has something to do with ore only being created if smooth stone is present?)
if anyone has any suggestions that would be fantastic. for now I'll continue trying different settings

There might be an .ini file in one of your world folders (World1, for example) that could be causing the problem.
My last option for problems like yours is to delete the bin folder and delete any .ini files i find. I do keep those that i know aren't messing with me, though. After that i just reinstall my mods on the fresh .jar and hope that works.

Firstly may I say =O, this mod is the greatest. Makes my SMP server so much cooler. Also lets me make Dune in minecraft XD.
The only thing that I feel that is missing is a rainforest specific tree type. The Savannah trees looks boss as hell, but I only wish that the rain forests had something as impressive and recognizable. If they were the size of the redwood looking trees (or perhaps even wider), but had large spanning branches near the top similar to the savanna trees, that would be ideal.
Rainforests also have dense foliage under the canopy as well, so my idea would be to have the previously mentioned trees, as well as many small bushes only of leaves. This way your vision would not be totally blocked by dense underbrush, and you would also have a sort of underlying layer of foliage. It should feel like an expansive cavern, but made of trees.
The trees really set the mood for me, they are the first thing everyone sees and they set the mood for the area, if you throw in more tree types and make them conform the biomes I think it would add a ton of atmosphere to the game.
Just my two cents, awesome mod and +10 interwebs for making it work in SMP as well.

Did you put the 'Trees' folder into minecraft. jar as well as the files?

Sorry for not being around much. I've been really sick and not felt like doing much of anything, let alone writing code. Also, I'll probably put off any form of new features until after Beta comes out in the next week or so. That being said, everyone should be prepared to go without this mod (as well as many others) for a little while after the Beta release on the 20th.

Magic value errors are weird (search on Google). They usually seem to be tied to corrupted files or something to do with your version of java, but could be something else entirely. Well, after a bit of research I determined that this has something to do with Prelithe's Minecrafter. BiomeTerrain runs without any problems if I just use the 'standard' (files into .jar) method of installation on a vanilla minecraft.jar. But if I try to use Minecrafter to import the mod into the game - BT crashes with the magic number error.
Fortunately, If I put the BT into the .jar and then run other mods off Minecrafter it seems to work ok. So problem solved, though I still don't understand why it happens. :wink.gif:

ok well i have fixed the crashing by putting the right class files into minecraft.jar and it stopped crashing which is great! :biggrin.gif:
but the thing is that i dont get any of those epic Savannah or pine trees, i only get a lot more of these ones

Have you set biomeTrees to be true in the .ini file? If it's not, set it to true and you should start getting the new trees.
