Hm, I'm having an issue with the wooden buckets. It crafted fine, but when I went to scoop up water, I got a freeze up to crash-

I haven't tried with milk yet, however - couldn't find a cow for the life of me. Figures when you actually /need/ the bloody things.
(If it matters, I got the egg and cheese variant)
Very nice mods, though, I must say. Well balanced and very useful, particularly early-game. And even late game with stacks of iron it's very nice to be able to throw together a cheap set of chain to go derping around it. Once the wooden buckets are working they're sure to help tons, since I seem to have a particular iron shortage in my newest world and have been looking to do a lot of water work.
I just installed and tried to use the bucket and cheese/egg mod with similar results as Sablechu. Basically right clicking anything with the wooden bucket makes this error pop up. I've tried it on dirt, water, and a cow; all of which have thrown this error. Also as a side note i must agree with Fkn0wned on the recipe itself not being quite right. I like the idea of just having the 3 pieces of wood since you don't need anything for the handle on the iron bucket. However for balancing purposes or realism adding a stick or iron ingot for the handle would be fine too. I just don't feel the current stick recipe follows the original bucket recipe well. Otherwise I love the idea of having a wooden bucket.

I am an idiot, I accidentally included an earlier version of the mod_woodenbuckets instead of the one that works. I have fixed the mistake, sorry to those who had crashed.
About the recipe, I always thought of it as this, the iron bucket has tapered sides whereas the wooden bucket is straight sides down to a flat bottom thus

Results in an iron bucket that \_/ while a wooden bucket|_|. so I included square corners for the recipe. and for the sticks, I just thought that wood planks might be a bit much but if everyone wants planks I can do that...
What did you think about the Fire Armor idea?
The skin is ready, including overlay to items.png.
I think it looks pretty sweet.
This system won't let me post an image, so I'll try another one soon.
You are the chainmail king, and should get credit for this.
However, I will write the code too if you don't want to...
Please let me know.

I will take a look at coding this once I get time. I have to work in about six hours and then until 4 so afterward i will see what I can do, okay? Shouldn't be too hard, just to add a set of armor. Remember that as of now I don't really know how to make armor with special abilities such as fire resistance or no damage/half damage from lava or anyting like that, it probably will have the same defense as iron or chain armor.
Crafting fire blocks into chainmail is already in the game.
We just need a way to get fire blocks into the player's inventory without using an editor to hack it every time.
I think all we need is a new recipie: 9 redstone dust into 1 fire block.
After that, just use the fire blocks to craft Fire Armor (aka chainmail but with new skin).
Here's what I'm thinking, but have not been able to get it to compile on my system:
public class mod_FireArmor extends BaseMod
{
public static ne FIRE;
public static dr REDSTONE;
public mod_FireArmor()
{
}
private void FireArmor(eh recipes)
{
recipes.a(new fi(FIRE, 1), new java.lang.Object[] {
"XXX", "XXX", "XXX", java.lang.Character.valueOf('X'), REDSTONE
});
}
public void AddRecipes(eh recipes)
{
FireArmor(recipes);
}
static
{
FIRE = ne.n[51];
REDSTONE = dr.c[331];
}
}
Super simple as far as mods go, but my system is crap.
(I Probably don't have the right verson of Java or the compiler).
Also, I'd love to post the new skin, but can't upload the file.
I get "Could not upload attachment to ./files/97926_a1bc887dd21b69183f8b4dfa65430dbc."
Anyone have any hints about uploading?
I was mistaken earlier about the 50/50 comment.
According to the wiki chainmail has the same durability and preforms the same as gold.
67 hits max. Twice as good as Leather, half as good as iron.
It is processed like the other armors.
Playtest seems to confirm.
Also included are pictures (but not mods) for:
All of Painterly's armors and items as a base.
All of zeRobuRn's items (cooked egg, rings, cheese, and buckets).
Risugami's arrows.
And as a bonus:
A high resolution kz.png file for nice new wall hangings.
Or, you can just download the stuff I posted Nov 3.
That already has an image file with the rings, eggs, cheese and a lot of other items, so you don't have to edit everything yourself.
It's also got a new skin for chainmail which looks like the picture I'm using in my posts.

Using your pack would work, though some people like to use packs other then Painterly, or no texture packs at all, and may not like the item icons in there. But if they don't mind then that's a perfect fix ^_^'
Also, I cooked a egg in the furnace, it had no image and I tried to eat it, nothing.
Again, did you apply the Egg and Cheese Overlay to item.png/use Arrrg's pack? Just installing the mods aren't enough, you have to add the graphic for the item too.
any chance of a 32x overlay for your rings? got kas painterly pack items on my hands and when i try to shoop it myself i just end up making a mess of it.
oh, i forgot to mention my remedy might be that you should do it like i see some mod creators do, they use mod loader and then have the image stored in a folder
so 303's arrows mod has the mod_arrows.dontrememberthefilename and then a folder called "arrows" filled with the arrows pics. i really hope you'd be able to do this pleeeassseee

Is this a error?
Also, can someone give me the recipes for chain mail? Hard to see because no icons.
Did you put the overlay onto your Item.png? You have to manually add the sprite for Chainmail Links to see them.
That already has an image file with the rings, eggs, cheese and a lot of other items, so you don't have to edit everything yourself.
