i dont think it increased the rate just where they spawn at like it changed it to make them more likely to spawn in certain patches then the lines they normaly randomly spawned at

*headdesk*
It did both increase the rate AND the chunks in which they spawn, but this is derailing.
Guys, would it be so hard to find the line of code that says like MONSTERSPAWNRATE=100 and change the 100 to like 1000 or something?
Or is this mod really more complex than it seems?
Also I don't really care about slimes, mainly creepers/spiders/zombies/skeles.
I want nighttime to feel like an actual threat, instead of the "better be careful" feeling that it is now.
I think it's more than just a number.. I've seen what's in those class files, and good lord, I could NOT understand it.
(I kept seeing the word Boolean, no idea what that meant.)

Ohh. Well there has to be SOMEONE who knows some stuff about it D:
Or mere curiosity at what goes on in all those strangely mysterious .class files. Putting 'no offense' in front of a question that is not only offensive, but inherently stupid, does not pardon you from being a tool.

The term "Boolean" is a 'yes' or 'no' kind of code modifier.
In the olden computer days, lights on a screen were assigned with 1s and 0s.
The "1s" being 'yes' or 'on' and the "0s" represents 'no' or 'off'.
So if the code line, for example, is "MonsterSpawn, boolean=1" then that means that monster spawns is active.
If the value is "0" instead of "1" then there will be no monsters to appear (as if you're playing in Peaceful mode).
And that, is what Boolean is about. I hope this helps. :smile.gif:

I want a REAL challenge. :biggrin.gif:
There was a slime spawn fix, I'm pretty sure mob spawning rate should be possible, too.
But the spawn rate was increased in the mod. :/

How about you all direct your anger towards making this mod :smile.gif:
Ahmg, enlightenment! Thanks for 'splaining. ^^
