You know that your plugin makes a totaly destruction in world after enabling this crap?
I've asked many friends and users about this plugin, and near everyone had a totaly facked up world, blocks in rondom places or just "cutted off" some parts of world.
Working mod = cool!
Not working = ok, i will find another one
Not working and making a destruction in world files - kill author in fire.
strange that none of the many users in this thread have said anything like that ಠ_ಠ
Sounds like your world got corrupted, *coincidentally* around the time you installed this mod and you erroneously assumed correlation == causation. Then you made up a bunch of friends and users with the same problem to lend your specious assertions more weight
Or maybe this mod really does fsck things up regularly but no one has come into this thread to complain about it before you *Occam's Razor*
I've confirmed for myself that the haloween version of Higherclouds is broken. I've had no occurrence of block corruption or terrain abnormalities though. I've run every version of this mod except the halloween update.
Sorry that you're having problems there Gardulec. If you can reproduce the errors you should screen shot them and post them so that the author can use the information to try to address the issue. I'm confident that TyrOvC is not malisciously damaging users saves. And I'm pretty sure that he's undeserving of dying in a fire.
Sorry for the wait! Updated to be compatible with the 1.2.1_01 Client.
Also, for those who have been put off from installing it or our curious as to what the grapical bug with the 3D clouds are, one of the planes on the clouds occasionally gets of by five or so pixels, so during the daytime if you are up near the clouds out the right angle you can see that the sides don't seamlessly fit together. I haven't had the time to play around with the rendering code enough to fix it yet, but I promise I will get on it. (honestly it doesn't bug me that much)
Wont work for me, On the 'saving chunks' part of generating a new world it freezes as it nears the end of the bar and then crashes.

Try redownloading it. I might have not updated the link yet (sorry! I had posted the wrong filename before I posted the update post).
Edit:
Yeah, that's the error you get from using the version from the Halloween update, instead of this one for the update right after the Halloween update.
Edit2:
Also, to any concerned parties, I use this mod myself, and it doesn't involve map data in any way at all.
Edit3:
Also, the lower higher clouds separate version was just a one time thing. I'll be leaving clouds at the height they were in the lower clouds version, that is right above your height at the max build height, for all future versions. Unless someone really really wants clouds ten blocks above the max build height.
I'm quite happy to have this mod back. I really hate playing without it now.
I wonder if you'd consider making a completely separate version that slowly cycles the cloud layer down and then back up over something like a whole night? I don't know if it's possible or not, but getting thicker as they go lower might be nice too.
I'm thinking that while I don't like the clouds going through my high houses, thick really low fog once in a while could be really atmospheric. Especially at dawn and dusk. Maybe a one in ten chance that this happens so that it's a rare occurrence.
This mod doesn't affect map data at all. It could not be what caused the terrain glitching in your screenshot. You are confused and/or insane.
edit: unless of course you actually tried to use a pre-halloween version of the mod on a post-halloween server, which is just asking for trouble. Class names changed with the update, so I guess you might have overwritten some other important class file that was no longer related to clouds. Mods are almost never compatible after updates for this reason.
I'm afraid your translator must be interpreting "higher clouds" as something else, because you would appear to have the wrong topic.
Edit:
Either that or you're using this mod that is on only the Client Mod lists, has the versioning in the compatibility statements of Client Version 1.2.1_0, renders things which has to be done Clientside, and you thought that servers can somehow control clouds on default clients, with the same class file as aforementioned being for the Client replacing a class in a server. In that case, I'm sorry that this was a Clientside mod wasn't clear enough.

Love the mod, couldn't get it to work at first. So I deleted my bin folder redownloaded then removed meta file, added higher clouds, then ran mcpatcher and it works great. If I try to add higher clouds after running mcpatcher is seems to crash. Anyway Great mod...
Ok I need some help here. Does the mod work as of today? If it does I need to know where the meta-inf folder is and what i need to delete inside of it.
if the mod doesnt work can someone just tell me how to turn off clouds alltogether?
If this mod is still being supported, I'd like to make a suggestion/request. Could you make it configurable? That is, allow the user to define at what height the clouds show up, or not at all. While some people want their clouds higher, I actually want mine lower. It would be really nice if I could define the height, since I don't know how much lower I want them, without trying different heights first.
Just a thought. Hope to see an update soon. Mouser X over and out.
