I guess this could be considered off-topic for this thread, but I couldn't resist asking about it (so much so, that I just made the account), would you mind sharing the link or where I could find the texture pack in the first picture, the really plain and vibrant one? Now that the recent update allows for easily changeable textures I wanted to try out this one, but I can't find it anywhere and have no idea what it's called.
To remain at least slightly on-topic, good job with the Simple Map mod, It looks great and seems to be fairly useful. Might have to give it a go once official support is in. I don't know much about the Ambient Occlusion one though, can't see much of the difference if I don't know what I'm looking for I guess. Anyway, good luck with those projects, and I would very much appreciate it if you could post that texture pack!
EDIT: Is the full editor for the forums working? I kept submitting my post and it didn't register until I used the Quick Reply editor...
As far as looking at my code is concerned I'd be a hypocrite if I said "no, don't" :wink.gif: But actually I don't know how useful it would be to try, as most of the useful stuff is pretty tied up with the patcher and is pretty ugly Java bytecode... what's left over is mainly all the scaffolding that gets it to work.
I know its too much to ask, but do you have a git/svn repo for your code? I would love to play with it
Looks like the map is having some issues. It doesnt update when moving east or west, but north and south work.
LOL. I suck at testing.
Maybe you should join the QA team over at Bethesda Softworks. I hear they need inept testers like yourself.
Also, Ive noticed that the map seems to be rotated, so that what looks like west on the map is actually north in the world. This was around before 1.2, so I was just curious if there is some reason for that?

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
For some reason my map is completely transparent, it doesn't show anything but the overlay outline and the red dot in the center. I've made sure that the mods folder is in %appdata%\.minecraft

You can change that in mods\SimpleMap\SimpleMap.properties and change 'up = west' to 'up = north'.

Anyone else have this problem?
No idea what caused that but try the fixed version.

The patcher overwrites the config file in /mods, so your "up" preferences have been reset. Change it back to north to have up point north
Does the game seem Jaggier to anyone else? I've been playing COD all day so that might have an effect on me thinking so....but I swear its jaggier...
No need to download this if I only use it for AO right?

Help me help you.
Nope.
This update fixed all my problems, thanks a lot for all the time you put into this MrMessiah.
