Hm.. the new patcher gets stuck at 7% for me, using the latest version and an unmodified bin folder. Here's the log:

Seems a few people have gotten this error with previous versions but I can't find a fix. I'm running OS X 10.6.6.
Edit: This happens whether I try patching both BetterLight & BetterGrass or only BetterLight.
Multiple classes match for RenderCore: f.class, h.class
I'm using optimine and mcregion so far
This one is hard to explain. Each major game update every class file changes name - thats what breaks all the mods. What used to be called f.class before today, is now called h.class. What is called f.class today was presumably something like e.class before today.
What it looks like you've done here is copy an old version of Optimine into todays minecraft.jar. So now you have two versions of the same class with different names, and you've overwritten something you shouldn't have in the process. My patcher has spotted the mistake and is complaining.
I'm sorry if I'm being ignorent, but I can't seem to figure out how to get this to work on my mac, especially since version 1.8 seems to be a .exe... It looks absolutely FANTASTIC, and I'd love to have ambient occlusion when playing. Help please!
**UPDATE
Now i'm really sorry lol I got it to work. I was being really stupid. nvm, i wish i could delete this! Thanks so much MrMMod!
one of the best mods i seen so far, but i kind of found a problem in the patcher
since the better light and grass mod kind of lagged for me, i just wanted to get the better grass mod
so when i patched it, i only checked the better grass, but when i ran minecraft it had the light and grass mod
but i am okay with it
I have no idea what the hell is happening, but I'm mad.
I worked on my house for like 2 hours this morning, finishing the roof and other stuff, and I backed up my world prior to patching with this mod and optiminer. So I load up the mods, patch succesfully, load my world, and it reverts to a previous version. This happened with the patch earlier, (hence me spending 2 hours finishing my house), but I thought it wouldn't happen again. It's weird because even with the backed-up save, nothing changes. I'm kinda pissed, but also kind of happy (My mines got sent back a bit earlier)
Does this make sense to you? I'm not sure if I'm rambling or what.
Trying to simplify it...
1. Patched to 1.2
2. World reverted to a previous version
3. Re-did work
4. Patched MrM mods and Optiminer
5. World Reverted to the save BEFORE updating to 1.2

Won't be anything to do with my mods, though that won't help you obviously. Are you sure its not something to do with MCRegion being installed/uninstalled?
i noticed that the new update has a texture in it which is a duplicate of the standard side of a grass block, except the grass is transparent. maybe notch has added sidegrass biome colors?
if this is the case, then it is implemented by tinting the original texture and afterwards overlaying it with the new cut-out texture. if this is fully transparent in your texturepack, you see the tinted texture only.
Guys, when you choose to only have betterlight but not bettergrass, you get this weird tint on the sides of your grass. Methinks its because some of the code from bettergrass that biome-colors the grass on the sides of blocks got mixed up w/ betterlight. I know that not many people use solely betterlight, but please fix this. It's quite ugly and the only solution is to play w/ bettergrass which I do not want.
No but you *nearly* can. I moved a lot of code around and theres one little complication stopping me from turning it off selectively.
seems same version name
oops-delete delete--mixed up-sorry
we need Spawn Control Mod!

That's the old patcher. New one patches bt.class.
Oh god you're right. Silly me. Worked perfectly :smile.gif: And thanks for the quick updates as always.

I tried using diff texture packs and reinstalling the mod. Still getting that green tint.
Yeah, same thing here.
