This is still very alpha. You can now steer the pig when you ride it (need saddle obviously). You can also make the pig jump using the Jump key. Pig model rotation and animation is off though. Enjoy.

Instructions:
Back up your minecraft.jar file. You need to open the minecraft.jar file using a zip utility like 7-zip, WinRar, Winzip. Copy and replace with the files in the zip file below. Remove all files in the META-INF folder except MANIFEST.MF (there should only be two files to delete).
could you make a mod so that the saddle drops when the pig is killed or hit with mouse 1?
I've been debating this. I originally had it doing that but removed it when I set up Saddle crafting. It makes sense that it should be dropped when the pig dies. When I make my next attempt at trying to improve pig handling I may put it back in.

This is really old. It hasn't been compatible since pre-halloween Alpha.
