Yeah, working on each individual tile is mind numbing after a while. Just got to push forward to get it done. Each tile is composed of 4-5 layers in photoshop as well as masks, adjustment layers, and filters. It took quite a bit of work to get the gold, iron, and coal to my liking, but I'm happy with the results. I just got to get diamond and red ore and the big hurdle is over. Everything else on the tile set I have an idea for. The ores was a huge obstacle to make. ^-^'

It's the landscape textures I really struggle with. I don't mind the individual items textures like doors and stuff, but trying to make the grass, cobble, etc. have pleasing detail, but not moire and tesselate horribly at different angles is what tortures me! You have all my sympathy, mate!
Its easier on the CPU/RAM than NFTS/FAT32.
Practically unlimited partition space.
Faster read/write than NFTS/etc.
Fragmentation is greatly reduced do to it's structure.
Okay - most of these reasons are why I lean heavily on RAM - disk speed doesn't matter so much once everything's in RAM :wink.gif:. I generally stick with NTFS for its security and use a lot of RAM to get my speed.
In any case, nice to see progress on the textures - what % of them are finished so far?

When all is said and done, Will you have said more than you have done?
Grr. My photobucket exceeded bandwidth for this month. So all my images are rendered useless. Anyone got a site that allows pretty much unlimited for free? I'll upgrade if I have no choice. :sad.gif:

imgur is great but it tends to resize PNGs over a certain size. = /
Dropbox/Mediafire/imageshack are the best options ;o
You could also use Picasa(http://picasaweb.google.com/home). If you already have a gmail or google account it goes through there. And IMO anything through google is going to be good stuff. But that imgur doesn't seem to shabby either.

Ores are looking much better now.

I second this, I use it for all my image hosting.
Edit: it's what everyone on reddit uses.. works great.
Anyway, I had a long day today. So I can't get to designing on my free time since I need some rest. I'll get back to working on it later tonight.
One nitpick though, make the diamonds a little chunky since they're crystaline in structure, plz.
