Frankly, I think the search feature is more than sufficient for finding any of the following information. However, because I'm tired of receiving sticky requests anyway, here is a brief list of (title) in lieu of umpteen stickies.
Think you've got something that belongs on the list? PM me with a link and I'll take a look.
I'm officially not personally updating this topic any more. That isn't to say it will never be updated; just that you shouldn't count on it.
Is your work being misrepresented? Would you like your link removed or its description edited? PM me and I'll resolve the issue.
There is already useful informations on it.
- What compiler / decompiler to use
- other tools
- basic understanding of modding
- Existing mods (not textures mods)
Thread started yesterday but I hopes it will grow a lot
(I need more example stuff and comprehensive modding tutorials... but... It's just starting)
I dont know how easy it is but how to you put your own paintings/art/pictures into minecraft??
You'd do it the same way you'd install any texture pack. You navigate to and go into the minecraft.jar and open the "art" folder. Inside, extract the kz.png to anywhere you want and edit it with an image editor. Then drag it back into the art folder when you're done.

You should add a link/download for the latest default terrain.png for people who put in a new texture pack and forgot to save the default one. (Like me :tongue.gif:)

You can always check my thread out for that kind of stuff. There's a link in the Notes section for both a 32x32 and a 16x16 original terrain.
With Minecraft's new texture pack capability, I think we could really use a forum or subforum dedicated to compatible texture packs
OR
Some tag, logo, or something showing in the title of threads that indicates its designed for the built-in texture pack functionality in Minecraft
This would make finding compatible texture packs a lot easier.
