I'm writing a custom client for Minecraft and I've put a custom font in. I fixed all the scaling, tracking, etc.. issues with the font change but the problem now is that it seems that the game is limiting the resolution of what can be drawn on the GUI.
If you couldn't tell, the font itself is much higher resolution than what is displayed in the GUI and when the text is rendered in-game it looks okay except for a few self-caused artifacts which I'm fixing (unrelated). So my question is, how and how extensive would it be to increase the resolution of the game's "canvas" and allow a higher resolution font? I'm doing just raw source modding here so no forge.
Here's what the font is (sort of) supposed to look like. It's getting cut off at the end but that's my wrongdoing.
