Forge uses a gradle wrapper (that is shipped within theForge sources). it has a task called build that compiles all your source files into one single jar file.
basically i am trying to edit a mod without very much knowledge of java. I downloaded the source code from github, but the gradlew command wont build it because its bugged. So somehow i need to change the format of the .java file to the format of a .class file.
It seems that you don't kow much about modding minecraft, so I'd recommend you start by following some tutorials (building your mod is explained pretty well there).
Can someone please tell me how to convert a .java file to a .class file? I cant for the life of me find anything to do this for me.
