Hi, I'm working on making my first mod using eclipse. I finished the mod and compiled it, loaded it in with forge to my normal minecraft and my textures for the items I made were not there (They are there in the eclipse version of minecraft you can run.) I checked and the textures are in the .jar and since this is my first mod I'm stumped on what to do. Any help is appreciated!
Sorry its been so long, I finally have time to put into it.
Open up the launcher, click on "Edit Profile" and select "keep the Launcher open".
When launching the game, the launcher should switch to another tab called "Game Output". Tell us if there are any errors (maybe include the log file in your post, you can find it in "<YourMcFolder>/logs/fml-client-latest.log".

What's wrong with the Eclipse output window? Don't need unnecessary windows...
Although I haven't used Eclipse in years (I use Idea) so you'll need someone else to explain how to get the output window open. Or you could just Google it.

You're the first one using the eclipse output window for looking at the vanilla launcher's log xD

Nope, it's the easiest place... all the logs automatically go there. I've coded in Java plenty of times before so it's the go-to place for logs. I highly doubt I'm the first.

So your textures were working fine in the workspace but didn't after you compiled it to a jar file?
.
Yes, sorry for the late reply.
when you load the game (not in eclipse), does the console tell you that it cannot find the texture path?
.
How can I see the console?

Thats where my .json files and .png files are.
make sure your assets folder is organized correctly, with items and blocks sorted like in vanilla
